Announcements - Jan. 10th, 2012 - New "All About Writing" Folder

Hi Everyone!

I added a new folder today called “All About Writing”. This is a discussion space for all members who are writers, who want to be writers in the future, and who want to discuss writing in general. There is a thread for posting links to your writing, a resources thread, and a thread for discussing the writing life. Check it out!


A quick note for those members who are planning on reading William Gaddis’ ‘The Recognitions’ in April. The novel is currently not in print, however, the Dalkey Archive will be releasing a reprint, with a new introduction by William H. Gass, in February. The Millions website included ‘The Recognitions’ in its list of most anticipated releases of 2012 in an article posted January 3rd.

This will likely increase demand for the book, so word to the wise, you might want to pre-order a copy. Amazon is taking pre-orders for the paperback and kindle versions. Their website shows the available date as February 7th. I’m sure your local bookstore would also be willing to pre-order for you. Of course, the book has been around for nearly 60 years, so I’m sure you could also find used copies.
