He said that there were a handful of special ones.
I agree that a sequel will ruin it. It was a great ending, I think the fact that it left her middle life a mystery was great. It has me thinking about the book even after reading it. Wondering how she pulled herself together after such a tragedy. How did she live? Who did she marry? What happened with her and Max? I love that mystery of the book. But The epilogue at least let us know that she died happy.
I couldn't bear the thought of a sequel to me the ending was so perfect anything else might destroy it.I wouldn't mind another story narrarated by Death though. A prequel wouldn't be bad either I mean what happened to Liesel before her brother died on te train
I know this is off topic but this book is like The Host. It perfect, nicely wrap up in a nice bright red bow but you just want a little more information. Like what happen!?! Did she become a writer? Who did she fall in love with? Who are her children? How did she meet her husband!?! But it perfect the way it is.
I don't think it needs a sequel, because the book on its own is just so great. So on the one hand I wouldn't want any sequel. On the other hand, though, I do find myself wondering what Liesel's life between the time of the bombing and her final day in Australia were like. She is obviously an extraordinary and special person, who I like to think would have done great things in her life.
Sequel, prequel - anything's possible with death as the central narrator. Let just cross our fingers and pray!
i think it does not need a sequel and the way it was written you do not need to know what she did between the time death saw her

Completely agree

Completely agree
In my opinion, it doesn't. I like this book much more as a stand-alone. Seeeing this excellent book put in a series would ruin it.

I suppose a is like great wine - too much and its ruined?
I don't think a sequel about Liesel would be good. But I think companion novels about other people who Death has an interest in would be cool.
