I agree completely. not a sequel about Liesel, but another one of "Death's" interesting persons. He said that there were a handful of special ones.

Pamela I agree that a sequel will ruin it. It was a great ending, I think the fact that it left her middle life a mystery was great. It has me thinking about the book even after reading it. Wondering how she pulled herself together after such a tragedy. How did she live? Who did she marry? What happened with her and Max? I love that mystery of the book. But The epilogue at least let us know that she died happy.

Ruby No, I don't think so. The story (@ Kim), I agree, is really done.

Aleetha No, I don't think so. It's completed, Death has told everything.

Math Teacher No. Enough said.

message 57: by Ewa (new) - rated it 4 stars

Ewa No sequels needed I think....

Leesa Newbon I couldn't bear the thought of a sequel to me the ending was so perfect anything else might destroy it.I wouldn't mind another story narrarated by Death though. A prequel wouldn't be bad either I mean what happened to Liesel before her brother died on te train

Jmart I know this is off topic but this book is like The Host. It perfect, nicely wrap up in a nice bright red bow but you just want a little more information. Like what happen!?! Did she become a writer? Who did she fall in love with? Who are her children? How did she meet her husband!?! But it perfect the way it is.

Cheyenne No. I feel like it is a great stand alone novel. Anymore and it might just seemed forced.

Rakell G P Definitely no!!

message 62: by Mars (new)

Mars I don't think it needs a sequel, because the book on its own is just so great. So on the one hand I wouldn't want any sequel. On the other hand, though, I do find myself wondering what Liesel's life between the time of the bombing and her final day in Australia were like. She is obviously an extraordinary and special person, who I like to think would have done great things in her life.

Katrina Welsh NO!

message 64: by Nick (new) - rated it 5 stars

Nick Sequel, prequel - anything's possible with death as the central narrator. Let just cross our fingers and pray!

message 65: by Rue (new) - rated it 5 stars

Rue NOOOOOOOOO!!!! what wold it even be about she dies in the epligoue.

message 66: by Maci (new) - rated it 5 stars

Maci i think it does not need a sequel and the way it was written you do not need to know what she did between the time death saw her

Completely agree

Isibéal In my opinion, it doesn't. I like this book much more as a stand-alone. Seeeing this excellent book put in a series would ruin it.

Isibeal - I sympathise, I can't think of many sequels/prequels that bested the orginal, perhaps 'Wide Sargasson Sea' but even that was a poor extension of Bertha Mason's story from 'Jayne Eyre'? I suppose a is like great wine - too much and its ruined?

Kasey No, absolutely not. He left it in a perfect place. Really can't build on top of it.

Jeanette No. One book was bad enough. We don't need to be tortured with yet another badly written novel.

K. P. Donte I don't think a sequel about Liesel would be good. But I think companion novels about other people who Death has an interest in would be cool.

message 73: by Ruth (new) - rated it 5 stars

Ruth heck no! It would ruin everything if they made a sequel.

message 74: by Maya (new) - rated it 5 stars

Maya A sequel would absolutely ruin the entire book (series, if they made the sequel) for me.

Lorien yes and rudy should live !
