When I first read it I hadn't read any actual fantasy authors so I thought it was good. But when I reread Eragon I had read WoT, LoD, SoS, and a bunch of other fantasy novels. It was horrible compared to the others.

It is a cop-out because you have 3(?) people survive and they each have the ability to make anything happen just by thinking about it, and not one of them wants to keep the power and try to learn to harness it? not likely.
i like to think im not a cinic. that 3 people could do the moral thing and not be selfish. i also think that they relized that their unconscince is more powerful the their conscience desires.
think about it, to have the power to make all your dreams come true would be pretty cool, but if all your nightmares came true and terrorize everybody as well...?

Olin - "epic" and "saga" just as words are pretty much synonymous;Epic and Saga are two different books set in the same universe.
Saga is naturally supposed to be six books, and epic... well that one I have no idea.

oh, and, DO NOT READ A CERTAIN SLANT OF LIGHT! I couldn't even finish it! IT IS A BAD BOOK!!

Even Sanderson who I like - had the street orphan Vin who is mentored by the charsimatic wizard. But there was enough "other" original stuff in there that I could forgive that.
Jane

type in... just so you know I was bored out of my mind when I did this. Type in Youtube- Drizzt vs Darth Vadar. I got a pretty good kick out of that.
Not being able to go onto YouTube is like not being able to know the news. You can't see the latest funny videos.

There are more hopeless romantics in the world than one realizes.

I recently read Greywalker and was really struggling with it. I was dumb enough to read the second one called poltergeist. I had hoped she would do better w/ the second because the potential is there but, no. I've never struggled to like the lead character so much.
the book called spellfire and the two that come after it. (i think there are 4 total now) they are horrable!!! in the first book the main charecter starts out on a jorney to silverymoon, after the 3rd book she dies about 100 miles short of the city. you cant get worse then that. oh and every Very Powerful Person in the realms is out to get her. EVERY.
wow.... that sucks. It's like being put on one side of the world and you have to cross all across the country to get to your house, it just happens that like, 20 miles away you get shot. That would suck
Oh, well that's just stupid! Jeez, you get soo close and all of a sudden you're thinking. Huh... I'm done. And just keel over.

Not really, even girls can be a little controlling at times. It would have just been more... feminine.

I had read the first two, now when I read Eragon it was so so, the second one was a little bad. But the third was just pure junk. Literally nothing happens in it and it was really a waste of my time to read it.
In "other" books, I would have to say Lipstick Jungle and any book like that was a waste of my time.

Agreed, awful and stereotypical.
I love Wot am in the middle now.
Never read twilight, hate love stories.A friend showed me the film, and i found it soppy and dull in the second half.
