Agreed! That's why I don't mind counting little 100-pagers too, because once you balance them against 800+ page books, you get a pretty accurate # of books of around 300 pages. I try to go more by page count than books, anyway. Trying to beat last year's, but I'm not sure I'm going to make it. I was upwards of 33k.

LOL! That's why I take long breaks between them! I've read the first two, so far.

Ruth | 87 comments I was newly charged for book 5 after concluding season 3 of the TV series. So good!!!

Denise (dulcinea3) | 307 comments I'm glad I hadn't read about the Red Wedding before I saw it - I think it had a much greater impact on me, being unprepared. With the first two books, I saw the series first, then read the book, then bought the season and watched it again. This time, though, I managed to DVR the third series when it was rerun in a marathon, so I've seen it twice already.

Ruth | 87 comments I have to agree -it would have been much more shocking without knowing, but it was incredibly shocking when I read it. I swore and and screamed and went crazy. And that's only half-way through book three!

Alana (alanasbooks) O, it was plenty shocking to read it! There were some choice words spoken out loud, most of them being some variation of holy ****! (insert favored four-letter word). But, it did amuse me when people who hadn't read the books were talking about that episode after it aired. I was all like "what, you didn't know that was coming?" :)

I'm so behind :( I read the first book and went to watch the first series and now I can't get to the end.... because I know what happens in the book :( for the 2nd and 3rd ones I'll be watching the show first then reading the books :(

This is the first time reading a book first has ever been an issue for me!
