Pi believes that animals in a zoo are no worse off than animals in the wild. Do you agree with him? What is Martel expressing about freedom? How do you personally define freedom?

Afia | 5 comments Well I think if animals live in a zoo they behave much better they are getting proper care and getting teach by the humans.Freedom is something that you are free do anything you want and it is your rights only. Martel shows expressing about freedom that the animals shouldn't be locked in cages they should be running down the wild where they are free. Sometimes freedom can be negative, lets say that a kid is free from his or her parents. But the kid can get into trouble, they should be rules on certain things. If too many animals running down the wild humans can get hurt if they are danergous and the animals could die.

Veronica | 1 comments Pi is accurate in stating that animals in a zoo are no worse than animals in the wild. If we recall the very famous saying " You can take the animal out of the wild , but you can't take the wild out of the animal". An animal by nature is wild. Just like mothers, who by nature are protective of their children and at least once in their lives feel the need to embarrass them. We can take the perfect example of Sigfrid and Roy. Sigfried and Roy are the world's two best tiger magicians. They work with live white tigers and perform magic tricks with them. On Oct 4, 2003 Roy was performing an act with his 7 year old white tiger, Monticore. Trained since birth, Monticore was one of Roy's closes animals. Minutes into the act Monticore seizes Roys hand in an aggressive manner. Moments later after Roy's has collapsed on the floor, Monticore begins to gnaw at Roy's throat, nearly killing him. Hence, proving Pi's idea that animals in the zoo are no worse than animals in the wild.
