Just checked again. Some books when I got o them, don't have a 'see review'. So I checked a few others, and some do. wtf?

The numbers in the US are mind blowing.
The numbers in the UK aren't good either.
we have Leicester still in lockdown along with 20 other cities/regions where the R number is rising.... one story starting to gain traction is that some pubs are now starting to not serve U25's who tend to be the grp not observing social distancing the most and closing down pubs who don't offer sit and serve service but merely let their punters spill out into the street like in London the first week....
Most of the bars and restaurants where I live in Arizona are open. We’ve had very few cases so far and only 4% of patients are hospitalized. Mandatory masks but not social distancing and the airlines are certainly not observing distancing. Back to 100% capacity.

Florida alone had some 15,000 new cases in a DAY.
California is averaging 8,500 a day for the past week so have shut down restaurants, churches, gyms etc. again. Keep in mind only 4% of cases end up in hospitals. My daughter tested positive with a fever and cough for one day! Nothing since.
Looks like the border between Canada and the USA is closed for another month. I am all prepared in case the second wave hits BC. Extra food. Lots of soap. I was surprised to find Lysol spray, it's been out of stock forever. Also enough yarn to keep me going for a couple projects.
I am seriously getting tired of cooking at home. Way too much work. Buy the food, make the food and then clean it all up. I prefer to have someone else make the food, and then I like to throw away a paper bag of garbage. Fast food is fabulous, but I am trying to stay away and now there are so may dishes!!

There's a good Mexican restaurant about 3 miles away and we've gotten takeout from time to time.

We had one about to open up nr me jus as the covid hit, it still hasn't opened yet :( would have made a change from the Fish n Chips that us Brits are famed for..... the queue's were half way down the street when the chippies nr me reopened a whilst back lols
Our chippies have only been doing delivery at lunch times and evenings so not too much of a hardship.Mind we did order in a Sunday lunch with all the trimmings last Sunday, we have been cooking it ourselves since all the restaurants closed down. Some were only doing deliveries in the evening time to stay in business.
restaraunts nr us have totally transformed or gone under.... one fish restaurant had spent the last year renovating, ready to open for Easter only to be kyboshed..... he then set up a shop on the ground floor selling essentials, expanding to include fruit n veg which he bought from the few markets that were open.... all purchases were done over phone and delivered.... he then did bbq packs when the sunny weather hit. he currently has a crab shack out the front of his restaurant doing takeaway. the restaurant itself opened the other week fully booked out with all the new customers he helped during the lockdown. many other success stories in my neck of woods with local businesses providing grand services for us all

Wanted to add the chippies had been doing a click & collect service throughout but all the ones on the harbourside have been so busy since it's opened up again! Like that Sunday dinners have been ordered in, missed Sunday carveries @ the rub-a-dub-dub
Hurrah!!! A haircut finally!!!Been walking past most days & i jus do NOT queue, straight in the chair....... grade 1..... sorted, feel part normal again :)

mm. All this talk of Mexican food and fish and chips shops... yummmm.Restaurants etc really have to think outside the box or go under in this covid world. In our area, some of the businesses who started doing takeaway due to covid are now trading better than they did when they were eat in. It depends on the area, I suppose, but in our nearest large town there was a lack of better dining style of food for takeaway. It was just all pizza and McDonald type takeaway previously.
I'd much rather order salt and pepper squid and Thai Green Prawn and Chicken Curry than a Big Mac. (the squid and curry are what we most recently ordered from a small town bistro 30 minutes drive away. :-)
