I counted our Christmas music and counting double CDs as 2, we have 64 CDs of Christmas music - no wonder Mrs Happy says enough is enough :)
The majority of the Christmas is up - still tinkering with the tree and some of the outside stuff - we misplaced a whole box of outside decorations and haven't found it yet.
That said, we will get at least one more this year

The Belgian was a rescue horse we got around 6 months ago that had cancer in the right rear hoof and we were medicating daily thinking we were doing well but our vet did x-rays and found there to be no more foot so she was walking with terrible pain.
The mini coliced on us and passed the next morning....very unexpected.

In case I don't get a chance to get on GR before Christmas due to everything going on in my personal life, I thought I'd get in early with my well wishing.****************************************************************

Too you too Terri. After Thursday I won't be on much. Too many books to read and nice things to eat over my two week break.
Happy holidays to you, Terri & Margaret, and all other friends here! I wish you all a peaceful and happy 2018! I hope to catch up with my reading during the holidays - have been too distracted lately :)
Great to see you, Terri! Even for just a few moments. Here’s hoping 2018 is a lot better for you and your family than 2017 was. Enjoy your holiday break, Margaret!
Terri, wishing you a joyful holiday & healthy New Year!! Wishing our GoodReads friends the same!!Here’s to great reads and reviews in 2018!

Thanks everyone. :-) Looking forward to Christmas and spending a few days around family. ...and eating all that food!
With Mum on the mend at the moment, it is over to me and my hubby to cook everything. Christmas Eve family dinner and the Christmas Day traditional lunch. Hope we don't over cook the turkey! Mum always cooks the turkey perfectly.
I'm doing steak for Christmas lunch. With mashed potatoes and mushy peas. Bugger doing a roast in the heat.
My siblings and my father and his wife have a big family dinner on the 23rd - I'm doing Prime Rib, my Dad a couple of hams along with the trimmings - we are planning for 50 people this year. Mrs Happy and I have our family on the 24th again with a big dinner - Ham and a special Scalloped Potatoes recipe.. We don't have a Christmas dinner per se - just grazing all the left overs :)If I don't make it back here before the Big Day - Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays and a Joyous New Year to all!
Terri our fearless leader, happy happy Christmas to you, may all those presents under the tree bring you much joy.We are having a Christmas Turkey at the marina, everyone will chip in $4 for the Turkey and bring a side plate. Hahaha, they haven't seen how much I can eat. mwahahahaha....

See my previous post Dawn!
A tough year for loss but we move on and celebrate with family. Oldest daughter in from California and we are so happy to have her and her husband with us. Merry Christmas all and here’s hopIng for some new reads from Santa!
Happy Christmas and other assorted holidays to all. We had a wonderful Hanukkah here with friends and now look forward to welcoming a grandson come February. I plan to turn him into a reader of historical novels asap. I am even writing some stories for his bedtimes now!
Carol, Congratulations on the impending addition to your family!
It looks like we just might have a white Christmas after all. As of Tuesday the forecast was for bitter cold (22 for a high and 6 for a low) and no snow leading up to Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. The weather people got it wrong. It currently snowing and the temps are in the mid 30s. It is "supposed" to continue through tomorrow. If it cools down a couple of degrees the white stuff just might stick around :)
The ski resorts are thrilled. It has been a very dry December and they barely have enough snow to ski on. I personally don't ski, but some friends went up last week and said they are still dodging rocks.
The Christmas candy making is finished and plated. Now I have to get them delivered to the neighbors :) I made 8 batches of caramels this year.
Once again wishing all here at A&M a Happy Christmas and a Joyous New Year!!
I see that this year the Reading Challenge of years past is not showing in a list on my Profile or Home Page.Only my 2018 Challenge is showing.
It was getting a bit of a long list, but I kind of miss it seeing as I have been doing the challenge since the beginning, I often liked to glance at it to check on how many books I have read each year.
Happy New Year, everyone!!They are still there, Terri! Just hiding :)
Click on the “view more” directly under this year’s challenge on your profile.
Thanks to all. Happy New Year. Continuing to read my historical fiction, murder mysteries, and eclectic aci dis. Writing stories for grandchild and trying to survive spinal problems. Keeps me honest
Happy new year everybody...last one was tough, so I really cross my fingers.I don't understand how GR calculates how many books you read in a year.
I received a message that in 2017 I read 4 books...not important, anyway.
Simona, happy New Year to you too !When you rate a book you've read, go into "review" the book and add the date started and date finished for each book.
Goodreads will pick up each "date finished" in 2017 and report on that.....
Hope you get some relief from your spinal problems, Carol. Back problems can really take a toll on ones spirit.
I remember many years back when I added all the old books I had in my bookcases. Thats when I learned to put in the 'read' date. As most of those books were read in the 90s. It was kind of a bit of fun to catalogue all my books from long before I joined GR.I've often wanted to buy one of those cool book cataloguing programs, but in the end I feel I don't have time to do it. Keeping everything on GR is enough.

Terri wrote: "Hope you get some relief from your spinal problems, Carol. Back problems can really take a toll on ones spirit."Yes I'll concur with that having ventured into the age bracket of back issues, wish you well Carol.
Gerk. Spreadsheets. I hate doing spreadsheets. At least GR has that function where you can download your entire GR bookshelves into a spreadsheet for your personal records.

I was only looking at that record again two days ago. I hear players are pretty common and cheap these days, so maybe next year I can afford one and be playing my Christmas record by next Chrissy. :)
