Oh was it? Just one season? I thought there was more than one season. Shows what I know about it. :)

M*A*S*H* by a landslide!
I don't watch any current ones; none are my type of humor.
Friends is my favorite comedy of all time. I am finding myself growing slightly more disillusioned with the show as I get older. My life at 30 is nothing like my friends' on tv. I don't have a current favorite comedy mainly because that requires time to watch television and I don't have a ton of that. I was watching 2 Broke Girls for a While but then all of the jokes got old. I will make time for a good drama though. I have about two months worth of unwatched Scandal episodes clogging up space on my dvr.
I am interested in seeing all of the different shows people list as we are all in very different places.

And generations.

Yes. I think my choice makes my generation pretty obvious.

US comedy is mash all time.UK comedy is open all hours.
current
US is big bang theory
UK is up the women. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2952566/
Gee MASH is getting plenty of look in. That surprises me. Oldies but goodies, hey?Up the Women looks funny, Mark.
I haven't seen the last season but my favourite UK one still on is Benidorm. Whenever I begin to like US or Canadian comedies the don't even finish a season/series, so I haven't got one of them.
As for all time... not sure if it qualifies, but the Vicar of Dibley. Love that Dawn French
That absolutely qualifies. Good comedy series that Vicar of Dibley. If we are going country by country. Then my favourite ever UK comedy is hands down is Ab fab, darling.
(Absolutely Fabulous).

It is Terri, nice subtle and makes you think.
I got bored with 2 broke girls and mike and molly.loved frazier and friends 3rd rock from the sun.
never watched seinfeld. Was allowed to stay up very late to watch soap.

Liked the Ab Fabs ladies too. :)
Terri wrote: "I could never get into Mork and Mindy when I was a kid. I found Robin Williams too loud! :)"Me either. I just kept hoping Mindy would whack him one with something heavy.
OMG, now I can't stop picturing Mork's head get whacked by Mindy, and he just standing there with his silly grin. For hours now that scene being repeated inside my head.
Modern family. That is one I thought would have come up already. When I posed the questions I tried to guess what shows people would say. modern Family was the only one I could come up with.
Question one: What is your favourite Tv Comedy Series of all time? Red Dwarf! When it was jus the 4 "lads" & The Young Ones if I hanker back to my YoofQuestion two: What is your favourite Tv Comedy Series on tv at the moment (as in, airing..not yet cancelled)? Can't think of one tbh... Purile & tame springs to mind with a lot of so called comedy these days

Good description, m'lad!
Andy have you watched any Broad City?Another couple of my faves right now, although Broad City is my top, is Silicon Valley and Parks & Recreation.
All time: Either "Will & Grace" (there's nothing that happens in life I can't somehow tie back to that show!) or Monty Python's Flying Circus. Been obsessed since about age 9 even if I didn't really understand it then! Oh crap. Then there's Faulty Towers. This is too hard!!!Now? Uh..........I watch all murder/detective dramas now. Hmm. Oh!! The Mindy Project cracks me up. I think we could be best friends :)
Damn..... missed Flowery Twats too :) That was class and ONLY 12 episodes ever made. And No Terry ive never heard of any of those you mentioned.
Too much canned laughter & looooooong obvious pauses between "gags" kills most comedy for me with its dumbing down effect

Right now I'd say mine is Big Bang Theory and Modern Family. All time is way too hard.
I don't know if it counts but I was constantly laughing during 'Whose line is it anyway?" The US episodes with Drew Carey, Ryan Stiles, Wayne Brady and Colin Mochrie always had me rolling on the floor.
Many years ago I used to love Who's Line Is It Anyway. I got burned out on it though, and now I can't stand it.

Archie Bunker....hands down for me!
Oh I loved laverne and Shirley, and to this day, sign my name with the same L she use to have on her clothes, lol.I don't have a tv, but I love, love, Vicar of Dibley and Black Books. That is me and how I'd behave if I had a bookshop!
It's 10 degrees (f) with a nasty windchill. I woke up this morning and our propane tank is empty so the heat doesn't work in the house. If that's the kind of day I am going to have....
That sounds fantastic! Too bad the twinkers require my help. They have speech today so at least we get to go somewhere warm.
I cannot imagine anything worse than no heat in deathly cold weather. I hope your elecricity is working. A cold spell is on the way for us. Not like Minnesoto, though. Take care.
I can't imagine what it is like to live somewhere that gets that cold. I am born and bred in the subtropics and winters like that are completely alien to me. Even with farming, it astounds me how different winter farming is to what I do.
The thought of having to keep cattle in a shed all winter and feed them blows my mind.
Fixed! There was propane in the tank. Mr. Gretchen just assumed that was the problem and didn't actually look. There was a minor issue with the furnace itself. A slightly cheaper fix than filling a propane tank.

Linda wrote: "I cannot imagine anything worse than no heat in deathly cold weather. I hope your elecricity is working. A cold spell is on the way for us. Not like Minnesoto, though. Take care."We are supposed to go back to winter Monday, April has been nice while it lasted :)
We're having the coldest days of the year in the next couple of days. Temps should be in the single digits (F) and that's cold for us. We still don't have any snow and i'm really missing that.
I have a question for my friends in the UK (or anyone who has knowledge of such things). I am currently reading Princess Elizabeth's Spy. In the book, King George is always referred to as King George VI. I'm curious if it is common to refer to the reigned monarch in that manner (Name followed by number). I can understand if you are referring to past monarch why you would use the number to identify which Henry or George you are talking about. Is this an etiquette thing? Or is this just for the benefit of the reader? In the U.S., most people just refer to President Obama as the President. People actually have other names for President Obama but that's a whole other can of worms.
Its a bit of both, if we are talking about the present queen then its "the queen".Prior kings and queens we do refer to them by title name and number
Over here in the convict settlements, we do a few. Mostly it is Queen Elizabeth or 'the Queen', but sometimes for certain reasons, we will call her Queen Elizabeth the 2nd or Elizabeth the 2nd.Then sometimes we just call her Lizzie. :)
From what reading I've done the current monarch is referred to just by name while prior rulers are Name and Number. I believe Susanne Alleyn addresses this in Medieval Underpants and Other Blunders: A Writer's (and Editor's) Guide to Keeping Historical Fiction Free of Common Anachronisms, Errors, and Myths Second Edition with the consensus being that it's incorrect to refer to the current ruler by their number.

What about Fargo? I haven't watched it, but I loved the movie and that was Black Comedy."
Fargo was a mini series. :) So technically it's no longer on air.
