has anyone else herd the song "safe & sound" by taylor Swift for the hunger games soundtrack?

I get the feeling it won't actually be in the movie. The reason I think that is, well, because when a very famous singer sings a song in a soundtrack, it's usually in the credits, or doesn't play at all. Take 'The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn (Part I)' for instance. I got so many ideas where IT WILL RAIN by Bruno Mars could play. During the birth scene, when she's dancing with Jacob... it turned out the song was in the credits. Another one is A THOUSAND YEARS by Christina Perri. I thought it would be either when Bella is walking down the aisle or Edward and Bella's first dance. But, it turns out the song wasn't even in the movie, let alone the credits (I didn't hear it at least)! I got so pissed. I hope they'll play SAFE IN SOUND in the movie. I think it'll fit amazingly when she either drugs Peeta, when Rue dies... anything is fine with me, but PLEASE not in the credits!

I loved this song! It matches the book so perfectly. I agree, it would probably be played sometime around Rue's death. But it might not.

I think they might play another song called Rue's Lullaby for that scene though. It's on iTunes and it would make sense.

That was such a wonderful song! I'm expecting it to be for the scene where Rue dies, Katniss leaves Peeta in the cave to go and get medicine, or pretty much anywhere in the movie!

I love this song it can go for alot of characters in the book i can see it being for rue and katniss, finnick and annie, katniss and peeta/gale...ect its a great song!

I'M SO DAMN IN LOVE WITH IT!! when i first heard T.Swift about to make the soundtrack i was like "HELL YEAH???" but then i heard this and crying.. haha.
It's a beautiful song! I love it and I think it is perfect for the atmosphere of The Hunger Games. I don't know where it will go in the movie, but in a way I think that it almost sums up the whole lot of it so almost any of the scenes you guys have been talking about would be perfect. What I do know is that every time this piece of music comes on when I'm watching the movie (multiple times I'm sure) I'll be shushing everyone around me to get the full effect.
It was beautiful. Her voice was soothing, bewitching and haunting. Kinda wanna make me cry, especially when I imagine Rue dying and Katniss singing over her.

When the movie comes out on DVD, I'll have to listen carefully again :) I know! A Thousand Years was my FAVORITE song from the soundtrack. I also love Turning Pages by Sleeping At Last (Instrumental).
Taylor's voice changed a lot in this song, in an amazing way. Whenever I hear it, shivers get sent down my spine. Seriously. I think it will either be played when Katniss drugs Peeta or when Rue passes away.
