Lori Anaple I am really the only person that is annoyed by the constant overuse of this word? On one page the word was used 3 times. And that is not even the least of it. Moreover is on almost every page in the book. My frustration with this word drives me crazy to the point of me not being able to read his books. I don't hate them. I gerally like them, I just cannot stand that word everywhere I look.

Am I alone out there?

Jeanine Often when you get a book from Goodreads you get an advanced reader copy which is NOT in its final form. Sometimes the book hasn't gone through the editing process as yet and occasionally that is the result. Kepp that in mind as you read and try to overlook that kind of stuff if you can. Makes reading easier if you can be aware of that fact.

Margaret That drove me crazy too! I listened to the audio version and I cringed every time any character said it. It was particularly annoying that it wasn't just one character that used the word, but so many of them. I think even one the twin girls said it! I don't think I've ever used the word in my whole 40 years!!

Jeanine I was so into the story I didn't notice it.

Matambrn I noticed it and hated it. And those twin girls didn't talk like any other preteen girls Ive ever listened to. He also used it in "Sandcastle Girls".

Holly I was too annoyed by the paper thin, full-of-holes plot and the characters total lack of substance to really notice.
