Logan, followed by his wife and eldest son, walked into the old pub. They moved to a table and set down their packages.
"Jace, why dont you carry the packages up to our rooms?" Logan asked his son.
"Sure thing." He replied, picking up an armful of packages and moving towards the stairs that led to the bedrooms. Once he was out of sight, Logan turned to his wife.
"Right, I'm off to Eyelops, to get the kids their pressents."
"Okay, dont be too long," She said with a smile."I'll tell Hanah that we'll be having dinner here then."
"Great, I'll see you soon." He said, giving his wife a quick peck on the cheek.

Rose Belakov walked over to Hannah, the landlady.
"Afternoon."Rose said cheerily."My Family will be having dinner here tonight, if thats okay? Also, We'll have a quick Breakfast tomorrow before we leave for Kings Cross."

Rose looked up as her husband came back in carrying 4 cages, with 4 rather disgruntled looking owls. Jace, sitting opposite her, turned around to see his father with the owls.
"Really Dad, I could have gone with you and helped you carry! No need to put the owls in a bad mood from bumping their cages together already!" He said in a lighthearted tone.
His father chuckeled, "Oh relax, the owls are fine. Im not a monster after all." He laughed. He set the four cages down on the table. "What do you think?"
"They look perfect! Whos getting which?" Rose replied, admiring the creatures.
"Well, I thought the Amazonian Pygmy Owl for Mia. The Bearded Screech Owl for Rhode, the Pacific Screech Owl for Daniel and the Snowy Owl for Alexis....What do you think?"
"Perfect! They suit each other."
"Yes, I quite thought so myself." He replied with a wry smile.

A half hour later, the four kids walked into the pub, each with atleast two sizeble packages in their arms.
Rose took one look at her children, laden with packages as they were, and just shook her head. "I dont want to know."
Logan just shook his head and chuckled.
They carried their parcelles up the stairs and to their rooms. As they came stomping down the stairs again, Mia ran to the table excitedly. "Look what I got!" She exclaimed. holding the Pink and Purple Pygmy Puff in her hand for all to see.
"Good God, what in the world is that?" Jace asked, looking at the fluffy creature with large eyes staring back at him. Despite the mock horror, he was smiling. He couldn't help it.
"A Pygmy Puff." Alexis replied, laughing at the look on Jace's face. 'Its a pet that she bought at that joke shope we went to."
"What's his name then?" Logan asked, regarding his youngest daughter fondly.
"Harrold!" She replied happily.
Everyone burst out laughing.

Some while later, after the family had eaten dinner, Logan had an announcement.
'It hasn't been fair, uprooting you from St. Vladimirs and putting you in another school, halfway around the world." He looked at them all in turn. "However, you have all handled it extremely well. Better than I could ever have imagined." He continued, beeming at them. "So, your mother and I decided to give you all a small gift from us. We know how sad you were when we had to leave Volucris behind." He frowned, in memory of the old owl. "So, I thought I should get you each something to remind you of him." He smiled at the confused looks on their faces. He and Jace got up and quickly went up the stairs. Before any of the kids could ask their mother what was going on, they had returned....Carrying 4 cages with owls, perched on their sticks, their large eyes staring at the faces of all the people around them.

The next morning, after breakfast, the family sat in the pub.
"Its 08:15...You guys better get moving unless you want to be late." Logan told his children.
"We really are sorry we couldn't come with you to the station, but we have to meet the minister this morning, and we couldn't change the time of our meeting." Rose told them apologeticaly for the third time that morning.
Daniel laughed. "It's fine, really Mom." He told her, giving her a quick squeeze.
"Got everything?" Logan asked them, looking over their trunks and cages.
"Yes Dad." They all intoned.
"Got your admitttence letters?"
"Yes Dad."
"Got-"
"Oh stop worrying so much Logan, they'll be fine!" His wife told him, patting his arm affectionately.
"You're right. Sorry." He said smilimg at his wife.
"Great, lets get the stuff into the car then, shall we?" Jace asked.
They spent the next 5 minutes heaving the heavy trunks into the boot of the dark grey BMW, but of course, 4 trunks, 4 owl cages and 5 people couldn't have possibly fit into the car....if not for the fact that it was, of course, enchanted.
After a lot of hugging, and farewells, the 5 children were in the car and off, their parents waving at them as they drove away.

Katie ran to the dead bartender. She touched his arm, then lifted his head. "Get the ministry."

((no, send an owl.))
Nick ran into the bar. "JENNA!" ((He saw the flash)

"Who was that-." He stopped and sighed, following.

((Shes not locked in there, its an incident report))
"No, Lestrange killed the manager."

Nick smiled, "so."

He smiled, "We need to leave."
Yin stumbled in the pub. She immediately hid behind a column when she saw the evil trio. She took out her wand very slowly and cast a patronus. Her leopard sprouted unseen and disappeared.
The Leaky Cauldron is a popular wizarding pub in London. It is the entrance to Diagon Alley, and, indirectly Knockturn Alley. For much of the end of the 20th century, Tom was the landlord. At some point, Hannah Abbott became the landlady, moving in with her husband, Neville Longbottom.
It was built by Daisy Dodderidge, who was the first landlady. The Leaky Cauldron was built in 1500. She said it was, "to serve as a gateway between the non-wizarding world and Diagon Alley." It rented rooms, had a bar, several private parlour rooms, and a large dining room.
To Muggles, the pub appears to be a broken-down old shop front on Charing Cross Road. The rear of the pub, however, opens up onto a chilly courtyard and the entrance to Diagon Alley. To gain access, a witch or wizard tapped the bricks in the wall in a counter-clockwise order. A doorway to Diagon Alley then forms and rearranges itself back to the original wall after the person(s) walk through.
