Swaroop opened the chest and found a piece of paper giving clue to the next task.

message 52: by PlatonicFern (new)

PlatonicFern (platonicfern473) | 1335 comments Jasper walked in, leading Josie deeper and deeper into the forest. He kept his sharp ears out for trouble. He was chewing on his cheek out of anxiety.

message 53: by Rachel (new)

Rachel (wildbooks) | 2134 comments Josie followed Jasper through the forest carefully. She was scanning the forestt warily as the made their way through.

message 54: by PlatonicFern (new)

PlatonicFern (platonicfern473) | 1335 comments After a small amount of time, the trees were high and cast a shadow on the ground. Jasper let go of Josie's hand and dropped his back pack next to a tree.
He bit his lip before turning to Josie.
"I'll... be right back" he said, before disappearing through the trees and bushes.

message 55: by Rachel (new)

Rachel (wildbooks) | 2134 comments "Umm, ok." Jsie said, watching him leave.

message 56: by PlatonicFern (new)

PlatonicFern (platonicfern473) | 1335 comments ...
After sometime a brown grisly bear popped out of the bushes, looking straight at Josie. It advanced.

message 57: by Rachel (new)

Rachel (wildbooks) | 2134 comments Josie stepped back silently. She thought about calling to Jasper but didn't want to worry him. She had her hand hovering over her bag where her wand was kept.

message 58: by PlatonicFern (new)

PlatonicFern (platonicfern473) | 1335 comments The bear had come painfully close to Josie then.
But instead of attacking, like most bears would do, it sat down and tossed it's head from side to side, as if shaking it's furry head.

message 59: by Rachel (new)

Rachel (wildbooks) | 2134 comments Josie pulled her wand as it came closer. Then when it began shaking its head she realized it. "No way, your an animagus?"

message 60: by PlatonicFern (new)

PlatonicFern (platonicfern473) | 1335 comments The bear nudged Josie with it's nose. It's eyes, warm and glinting with kindness, might have seemed familiar to Josie then.

message 61: by Rachel (new)

Rachel (wildbooks) | 2134 comments Josie recognized him. It was Jasper. She reached out and scratched his fuzzy head. "That's really cool, Jasper."

message 62: by PlatonicFern (last edited Jul 27, 2012 12:16PM) (new)

PlatonicFern (platonicfern473) | 1335 comments Jasper would have smiled and said thank you. But instead, he looked odd trying to smile and uttering a bear noise instead of actual English. He knew he might have blushed if he could.

message 63: by Rachel (new)

Rachel (wildbooks) | 2134 comments Josie laughed. "It must be hard transmitting emotions as a bear."

message 64: by [deleted user] (new)

Ella walked out of the castle and onto the grounds, with her faithful cat, Merida following close behind her. As she reached the forest, she looked around for a tree to climb, and found one close to the edge of the forest. when she got to a high branch, Merida jumped into her lap. Ella began to stroke her as a light breeze caught her hair, sending the curly, blonde mass in every direction. There was so much for her to think about, so much had changed last summer, and now all she could do was sit in the tree and find comfort in her cat, wondering if she would ever have another friend.

message 65: by PlatonicFern (last edited Jul 27, 2012 12:34PM) (new)

PlatonicFern (platonicfern473) | 1335 comments Another bear noise came out.
Then Jasper stood on both of his hind legs, revealing his full size as a bear. Then the bear started to shrink and loose most of it's hair. Withing seconds, Jasper was back to normal. Except for a bleeding cut on his left cheek and another in his arm, he seemed fine.

message 66: by Rachel (new)

Rachel (wildbooks) | 2134 comments "That was really awesome, Jasper. I haven't come close to mastering an animagus yet." Josie said, not noticing the scratches yet.

message 67: by PlatonicFern (new)

PlatonicFern (platonicfern473) | 1335 comments "Awesome? Really? I didn't think you'd... I thought I might scare you off" said Jasper, blushing now that he was back to normal and not covered in fur.

message 68: by Rachel (new)

Rachel (wildbooks) | 2134 comments "Really. Not just any wizard can learn to become an animagus. I've been working for almost a year now trying to figure it out." Josie said.

message 69: by PlatonicFern (new)

PlatonicFern (platonicfern473) | 1335 comments Jasper was smiling. He was glad it didn't bother Josie that he was really a bear.
"I could help you... if you want" he said.

message 70: by Rachel (new)

Rachel (wildbooks) | 2134 comments "That would be greatly appreciated." Josie said.

message 71: by PlatonicFern (new)

PlatonicFern (platonicfern473) | 1335 comments Jasper nodded. But then his smile faded, hearing a faint sound a little ways deeper into the forest. His expression grew serious and a bit panicked. He turned them both around, nervously. Jasper was a bit stiff and tense.
"We've got to get out of here" he whispered close to Josie, wiping a bit of blood from his cheek distractedly.

message 72: by Rachel (new)

Rachel (wildbooks) | 2134 comments "Yes we do. And when we do, we need to fix up those scratches of yours," Josie said, having just noticed them.

message 73: by PlatonicFern (last edited Jul 27, 2012 01:01PM) (new)

PlatonicFern (platonicfern473) | 1335 comments Jasper shook his head. He was walking faster, letting Josie walk in front of him.
"That's not important" he said urgently.
"There's a, ah... complication."

message 74: by Rachel (last edited Jul 27, 2012 01:16PM) (new)

Rachel (wildbooks) | 2134 comments "If you say so." Josie said speeding up.

message 75: by PlatonicFern (new)

PlatonicFern (platonicfern473) | 1335 comments As they made their way through the forest, Jasper pulled his wand from his shirt sleeve. He stopped and told Josie to keep going. He turned around and pointed his wand at the quietly advancing beast.

message 76: by Rachel (new)

Rachel (wildbooks) | 2134 comments Josie listened, not wanting to protest as she began to quickly continue walking toward the exit of the forest which didn't seem near.

message 77: by PlatonicFern (new)

PlatonicFern (platonicfern473) | 1335 comments The Graphorn didn't seem to like the wand pointing. He advanced in on Jasper, about to attack.
Jasper dove out of the way easily. He shouted a spell, pointing his wand at the beast. But the spell bounced off harmlessly from it. It lunged, knocking Jasper to the ground. That's when Jasper started to change.

message 78: by Rachel (new)

Rachel (wildbooks) | 2134 comments Josie looked back at their fight but didn't know what to do.

message 79: by PlatonicFern (new)

PlatonicFern (platonicfern473) | 1335 comments Jasper, now a bear, dropped his wand. With his new found strength he managed to push off the Graphorn.
Jasper didn't feel so nervous. Only for Josie. He rose to his full height, blocking the Graphorn's way to Josie.

message 80: by Rachel (new)

Rachel (wildbooks) | 2134 comments Josie thought about turning back to shoot a spell towards the creature but when she looked back Jasper was at full height. There was no way she could aim around him.

message 81: by PlatonicFern (new)

PlatonicFern (platonicfern473) | 1335 comments The beast lunged again, this time set on Josie. But Jasper was ready. He stood his ground as he sprung in front of her. He tried to knock the monster to the side, but instead the monster slammed into Jasper, knocking him down. At least Josie was out of harms way...

message 82: by Rachel (new)

Rachel (wildbooks) | 2134 comments Josie almost shrieked as Jasper was knocked down by the monster. She couldn't hold back any longer. She couldn't just watch. Josie ran forward sending out almost any spell that came to mind.

((I'm really sorry it's taking me so long))

message 83: by PlatonicFern (new)

PlatonicFern (platonicfern473) | 1335 comments (( Oh gosh! The notifications! *curses the notification system for life* Sorry... ))

Jasper was busy trying to keep the monster away. What bothered him most, was that not many spells could work on a Graphorn. He knew he just had to try to scare it off.
The Graphorn seemed to get tired of the shoving and pushing. It slashed Jasper's side with one of it's horns. Jasper howled.

message 84: by Rachel (new)

Rachel (wildbooks) | 2134 comments Josie cringed seeing Jasper get hurt by the Graphorn. She realized that no spell she sent was working on it. The only thing that she thought could possibly work would be a distraction. She began to rack her brain for something that could be used as a distraction.

message 85: by PlatonicFern (new)

PlatonicFern (platonicfern473) | 1335 comments Jasper didn't fall to the ground, despite the damage. He was breathing hard and slowly. But he got back on his hind legs and slashed with his claws.
He didn't know how, but the Graphorn seemed actually hurt by the attempt at a strike.
It howled and disappeared into the Forest.
Then Jasper sat down hard. He started to change back. Once he was human again, he dropped to his side.
"Well..." he groaned, holding his bleeding side,
"it's gone..."

message 86: by Rachel (new)

Rachel (wildbooks) | 2134 comments Josie ran over to Jasper's side. "Yes it is. How deep is that scratch on you side? I couldn't tell from where I was but it didn't look good." Josie asked, greatly concerned.

message 87: by PlatonicFern (new)

PlatonicFern (platonicfern473) | 1335 comments Jasper's clothes were torn and already staining with his blood.
He shook his head.
"I dunno..." he groaned. Then he sighed.
"Are you okay?" he asked Josie, concerned.

message 88: by Rachel (new)

Rachel (wildbooks) | 2134 comments "Yes, I'm fine for the most part but we need to get you help. Based on how much you are bleeding now, it's obviously pretty bad." Josie said, concern in her voice.

message 89: by PlatonicFern (new)

PlatonicFern (platonicfern473) | 1335 comments Jasper shook his head.
"No... I'm fine... I'm glad you're okay" he muttered.
He pressed his hand on the bleeding gash, trying to stop the bleeding.

message 90: by Rachel (new)

Rachel (wildbooks) | 2134 comments "Can I at least see it then. I don't want you to make it worse by just callin git good." Josie said still concerned for him.

message 91: by PlatonicFern (last edited Jul 29, 2012 02:08PM) (new)

PlatonicFern (platonicfern473) | 1335 comments Jasper was about to shake his head, but then sighed.
He allowed for Josie to look at it. Though the warm and wet stickiness of his blood made him want to puke out his Honeydukes candy behind a tree.

message 92: by Rachel (new)

Rachel (wildbooks) | 2134 comments Josie looked at his wound carefully so that she didn't hurt him more.
((How bad do you think the wound should be?))

message 93: by PlatonicFern (last edited Jul 29, 2012 02:25PM) (new)

PlatonicFern (platonicfern473) | 1335 comments (( I dunno. Long and deep. Enough for it to need to be stitched up? ))

Jasper's hair was messier than before. Jasper had enough energy left in him to appreciate that.

message 94: by Rachel (new)

Rachel (wildbooks) | 2134 comments Josie looked up from his wound. "I hate to say this but that is way to deep to go without real help. I miht be able to stop the bleeding but other than that I don't think I will be much help." Josie said. She then ripped a piece of her already tattered sweatshirt off and tied it tightly around the wound in order to stop the bleeding.

message 95: by PlatonicFern (new)

PlatonicFern (platonicfern473) | 1335 comments Jasper winced.
"Thank you" he muttered.

message 96: by Rachel (new)

Rachel (wildbooks) | 2134 comments "Your welcome." Josie said. "Do you think you can stand?"

message 97: by PlatonicFern (new)

PlatonicFern (platonicfern473) | 1335 comments Jasper, after a lot of wincing and groaning, managed to do so.
"Yeah... I can" he said, smiling weakly at Josie.

message 98: by Rachel (new)

Rachel (wildbooks) | 2134 comments "Do you need help walking?" Josie asked, seeing how much pain he was in.

message 99: by PlatonicFern (new)

PlatonicFern (platonicfern473) | 1335 comments Jasper shook his head.
"No... I'm okay..." he promised. He started toward the exit, slowly.

message 100: by Rachel (new)

Rachel (wildbooks) | 2134 comments Josie stayed close to Jasper just in case he needed help as they made their way out.
