message 1: by Dylan (new)

Dylan (dmfriend26) | 6 comments O.k. I need a suggestion for a few good romance novels. I already love Nicholas Sparks, but want to get really into the romance genre. So any suggestions for a true romance genre fan? Beside Nicholas Sparks, I already love him! Thanks! :D

Robyn (roxy_nj) | 9 comments Usually can't go wrong with Nora Roberts

message 3: by Allison (new)

Allison (theallisonnelson) | 31 comments I think you'll like Jude Deveraux for romance. I read "A Knight In Shining Armor" and it was this kind of time-travel romance... really, really good. I like the way she writes, I recommend her!

message 4: by pianogal (new)

pianogal I'd suggest Susan Elizabeth Phillips or Jennifer Crusie. Little sexier than Sparks, but usually have a good story.

message 5: by Brandie (new)

Brandie (brandiemichelle) I agree with Jude Deveraux and Nora Roberts. Both good romance novelists. Sweet Liar by Jude Deveraux is my favorite. Also I enjoy Judith McNaught - she also does romance really well.

Vita (retro_librarian) | 38 comments I agree, "A Knight In Shining Armour" by Jude Deveraux was great! It's the only book that I have read by her, but I really enjoyed it!

message 7: by Allison (new)

Allison (theallisonnelson) | 31 comments Vita, it's the only book I've ever read by her too! I'm not like SO into romance but I like it when there's a twist to it, like that one. I totally keep meaning to pick up Sweet Liar because Brandie and I have pretty much the exact same taste so I know I'll love it, but my library doesnt have it :(

Allison (theallisonnelson) | 31 comments I know it's really unbelievable that I can't find it anywhere! I'm going to add it to my amazon.com wish list and order it for the holidays though!

message 11: by Mary Beth (new)

Mary Beth (mbizz) | 1 comments I absolutely love Nicholas Sparks. I really like the way he makes the relationship feel real and down to earth. I picked up a book last summer at the bookstore mainly because it has to do with the beach & i love the beach + romance! Anyway, the book is called "The Last Summer (Of You & Me)" by Ann Brasures. It was amazing!! The relationship that unfolds in this book truly melts your heart and I cried and cried. It was a little more risqué than Sparks' works, but it definately "pulled at my heartstrings". Check it out!!

message 12: by Allison (new)

Allison (theallisonnelson) | 31 comments Mary Beth, I liked The Last Summer of You and Me also!

Farzan (persianguy1983) | 86 comments I suggest Lisa Gardner , she combines love and mystrious issues together ,

The Romance Bookie (theromancebookie) | 9 comments Nora Roberts has this great series called "The Bride Quartet" there are four of them and each of them are great! And then I also agree with "The Last Summer of You and Me" by Ann Brashares, she also wrote "The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants", but this one is a bit deeper I think. Jane Austen and "Jane Eyre" by Charlotte Bronte, however, these take place in the 1800s and were written back then too, so for me personally they are books that I have to concentrate more to understand because of the old english used sometimes, but "Jane Eyre" is really good and romantic! And even though I have never read any Danielle Steel books, I have heard she is really good too :)
