I've just read an interesting discussion on linked in. The person said that someone in her life complemented her on her writing which inspired her to become a writer. I don't have such a fuzzy story but I'd be interested in hearing about your motivators. Do you have such a person?

I forced my husband to read all of my writing never intending to go for publication. Finally, he asked "Why are you doing this if you don't intend to do anything with it?" If not for him I would have never tried.
My younger sister forced me to write my book! I told her about it in conversation one day and she was shocked and demanded regular chapters. Once I got into writing it, and more ideas flowed, I decided I might as well get it published as well. Unfortunately my husband will not give in and read my book, but I am wearing him down...
To become a writer was always a lifetime dream that I had from as early as I understood what books were. There are certainly writers who have influenced my style from King, Rice, Garfield-Reeves and many more. Of course sometimes their influence was in not what to do. An example of that is I find Stephen King goes very slow with his plot. Mind you he is good at what he does, but for me it needs to advance faster and I think that reflects in my current writing style.
