Love these books... Love the strength of the story line and not just the strength of the romance. All the great aspects of a story together. I hate Gale with a flaming passion. Go Peeta!

I don't hate Gale :D But I don't like him either.
I'm late to the game, but I just finished the first book. It was great! I really loved Gale better than Peeta, but my daughters tell me he turns into a jerk later. Hmmmm, we'll see.
I was a bit disappointed how she didn't have to choose in the end between Peeta and Gale, it was like Katniss got of (kinda) easy in that respect...the choice was already made for her.

On the Hunger Games, personally I think that the quality of the books descended with each one :/ The first was spectacular, and by the time I read Mockingjay it was a bit ...lacking?
I'm really excited for the movie though. It comes out here the day before I go to Italy. I'm going to go see it then :p
The first and the second book were amazing! But my favorite is Hunger Games! I thought the other books were a bit crowded(too many characters).The first book is more raw, more real. The characters more believable.
Second book was all about BEST OF THE BEST. So the emotions were not that explosive, because all of them have been through it before. But I gotta say, I liked the Arena of the second book more than the first.
Third book was not actually bad, but it was more disappointing than the first two. Collins seemed to be in a rush to wrap up the series. So the events were bit hurried and strange. But I have to say I expected so much more out of it! :(
In the end, I am Team KATNISS, but I really HATE what they did to PEETA!! :(
What I love about the Hunger Games series is that it wasn't all just about the romance and it was sort of in the background. I loved the first book the most and cried at the third one/ I'm glad Katniss ended up with Peeta instead of Gale and I think Suzanne wrong all the characters amazingly! Can't wait for the movie!:D
I also didn't like the part, where Katniss' mother just leaves her. That was sad!

I love the series but felt that Mockingjay was a big disappointment :(
