Heather I am wondering how this is

Ellysa You should absolutely read it! I started it two days ago and finished yesterday morning :)

Prepare for it to be a tad predictable in some ways, but even still it captures you and becomes addicting. The only downside to this book? We have to wait a year for the next one! Ugh

i haven't but i'm sort of dying to...

Nattaporn I haven't have chance. Wondering how is it?

Emma I really liked it. I was a really fun read. Here's a link to my review. (gave it 4.5 of 5 stars) http://novelminded.blogspot.com/2012/...

BelleScar I kept coming across it. Finally I said screw it and ordered the sample for my kindly... AND thought that it was pretty good so I ordered it...It is one of those books that is just a fun read. I would definitely reccomend it.

message 7: by K (new) - rated it 5 stars

K I really liked it. It was a different take on a well known story and it didn't seem like someone trying too hard to make something new and different. It was a refreshing read.

Hong This is actually a fantastic YA read! Very fun, though it's a little bit of a fluffy read. It's one of the better books you'll find in a YA section of any bookstore, but don't wander into it expecting anything particularly deep or impressively mature.

Still FUN!! I reccomend it to everyone who likes a good fairytale retelling. I mean seriously - Cinderella is a cyborg.

Vanessa Phillips I really liked it, I just finished it. I would definetly recommend it as a good read. The author definetly had a different take on the cinderella story.(:

message 10: by Jinx (new) - rated it 5 stars

Jinx Sapphire It was fantastic i could really see the cinderella tale in the story

Joshua Lawrence It's dufferent and FUN.
I loved it.

It's different from other YA novels. :D

Megan I read this when I recieved it from giveaways, and I liked it. I will read the next installment for sure! It was a bit quirky I guess, but how can a book about a cyborg cinderella not be??

message 13: by Jennifer (new) - added it

Jennifer I couldn't put it down, quick read. Picked it up because of the cover. Can't wait for the next one to come out.

Erica I really enjoyed this book. Those of you who said it was prediictable are right but it was fun to watch the characters discover what you knew. I am looking forward to the next book!

Brooke I really liked this book. I wasn't sure that I would b/c I'm not usually a cyborg/android type of person. But I liked the premise. My only complaint was that I had the ending guessed by the 4th chapter. Not sure if that is b/c it is supposed to be a Cinderella spin off or not, but I just knew. I still kept reading it, tho. And I can't wait for the next one to come out!

Elsa Carrion Everyone so far that has commented on this topic has enjoyed it so you can't go to wrong. I myself enjoyed it as well. I did not read the summary so I didn't know it was another Cinder story or I don't think I would have read it. But I'm glad I did, it was a fun quick read. I will be reading her next book.

"That's All" Ash Oh, this is a very good book! It's definitely an original adaptation of "Cinderella". It was refreshing to make the fairytale into a sci-fi. :)

message 18: by Emma (new) - rated it 4 stars

Emma B I wasn't actually expecting much from this book but it was really good!! Cant wait for the sequel

Kelly Predictable, but still an excellent read :)

Megan Kelly wrote: "Predictable, but still an excellent read :)"

Completely agree! A lot of the 'twists' were almost painfully obvious, but it was fun regardless!

george ☽ yeah, when I first heard about it, I thought "Maybe I'll give it a try, you never know" and boy, I am so so so glad I picked it up! I loved it!

message 23: by Mary (new) - rated it 4 stars

Mary I was not sure I would finish Cinder but an SO glad I did. Great book. Very creative.

message 24: by VG/Allie (new) - added it

VG/Allie ITS AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i loved it. i love the way the author took the beloved tale and put it in the future.

Katsumi I loved Cinder! I think it was a unique story and a promising new series. I would suggest giving it a try :)

Sharon I loved it! It was very different and I'm a bit of a sucker for fairy tales.

Biblio Cyborg Cinderella story - darned innovative & totally different from any other dystopian novel out there! My fave so far this year....

Marisa I read Cinder and I absolutely adore it! It combines the classic fairy tale with a little sci-fi and a little Dystopian added in. It is probably one of the best books I've read so far this year. Plus it not a by the book fairy tale, there are some twists.

Suzanne Toon Wonderful book! Definitely worth your time! You should follow it by Shatter Me if you haven't read it already!

Brooke Suzanne wrote: "Wonderful book! Definitely worth your time! You should follow it by Shatter Me if you haven't read it already!"

Oh, I so agree with this!!! LOVE Shatter Me!

Malak Silmi This book is out of my world of fantasy.. new things : cyborgs and lunars?? thats a smart thing to create and it is an awesome book to read especcialy the part where cinder finds out shes princess selene :)

You should really put a spoiler alert here in case some people haven't read it!

Brooke Meishuu wrote: "I found it a bit so-so. I really like cyborgs, so the idea of a cyborg-Cinderella appealed to me; despite this, I found the book to be lacking, specially in the world-building department.

However..."

I agree about the world building part. I would have liked to see more of that.

Allison I picked it up and I really really enjoyed it. I will admit that the world building could be better, but considering Cinder has never left New Beijing (in her memory anyway) I'm not sure the author really had a lot of opportunity. According to the synopsis I've read the sequel will involve some travel which may allow for more world building.

Definitely read it, it's great :3!

Christina It seems like my opinion is not much different then everyone else's. Well, the book's world building is lacking, she could have worked on character voice more, and yes it is kind of predictable. Still, it is a fun, fluffy, fast read, for a lazy afternoon.

Marisa I really liked this book. It was predictable but it was still a fun read. I really liked Cinder as a character. She was spunky. I really want to know what happens in the next one. :)

esthermarie Yesss! Twist and surprises are fun, but its still nice to get a predictable book that you can say I knew it! about. The fact that the heroine is so likable and funny is also a plus.

Erica nope , but I put it to-reads self.

message 39: by [deleted user] (new)

Great book!!!

message 40: by Tom (new) - rated it 4 stars

Tom Liked it but came up short of loving it. A little predictable. I liked it enough that I will read the next one and i think the next one is going to be better.

Rebecca it was AWESOME

Meenu the best book i've read in a while :)
totally captivating and btw...
does anyone else think Ky is hot?

Rebecca DUH

Natalie I loved this book! I got it for my birthday and finished it in two days. It was great and I highly recommend it :)

Ashley yeah, read it. its super good. i was kinda iffy too cuz u know, theres all kinds of cinderella stories and it was kinda gettin old. but it was really good. fast read.

Daisy This book was surprisingly good. I picked it up solely based on the cover. Had no idea at all what it was about. When I started reading it, I realized it was a retelling of Cinderella and closed it after chapter 1. Then one day I had nothing else to read so I decided to give it a second chance and it sucked me in. While it is based on the Cinderella story, it is different enough that it surprises you often. While there were some elements that I guessed on, overall, I really liked it and can't wait for the next book. I recommend it!

Julia Sartor This book was good and the immagination of the authoress is great! Unfortunately, there are no many kisses :(

Gavin Yes, I absolutely loved it. Thought the story got better and better as the book progressed. Far better than your average fairytale retelling.

Roll on book two!.

Tonyalee This was a pretty good book. only 3 star for me though. The beginning was slooooow and I almost quit reading it twice. Once things got going though it was great. : )

Daron The only thing wrong with this book is that I immediately wanted the sequel and it is going to be a long wait. I enjoyed it a lot more than I expected and would recommend it to anyone. I can't wait to see how other fairytale characters are incorporated.
