Another immediate suggestion

Already on my "to read" list, but seemingly appropriate for this group is Leviathan Wakes, which seems to be a futuristic detective story that turns into a bigass space opera. Corey is a pseudonym for two people: Daniel Abraham (whose Long Price Quartet is supposed to be really good also) and Ty Franck (George RR Martin's, yes, A Song of Ice & Fire George, assistant) who collaborated on writing a big Mass Effect style book. Sounds neat enough for me to check out!
