2012 Goodreads Challenge

When I joined GR in late July, I had no idea what to choose as a goal so I picked 52 (a book a week). Well I just finished book #77 so obviously next year I need to pick a more realistic goal!

I can' t seem to find where I'm at on my goal through my phone but I was up about 8 or 9 books when I left on vacation and I think I've kept up my pace :)

I don't have a goal, but I've been in Italy for a few weeks so I'm playing catch up with the group. Oh, I didn't have access to computers or phone, sort of liberating actually.

I hope you enjoyed your time away--both from home and the computer. I've had a couple forced weeks this year of no computer access, and found it to be both liberating and frustrating. On one hand, it is good to completely unplug once in a while. But on the other hand, catching up can be a real bear.

You are absolutely right. Like you, I didn't have a choice, so I made do and after a few days it was like...who needs a computer? Then reality hit home...still working on catching up.

Another month come and gone -- is it just me, or the days seem to be going by faster and faster?

I am now only 8-1/2 books from meeting my goal of 100. Looks like I may slightly exceed it again this year. Yay!

How are you doing with your goal?

I'm at 104 of 110, 13 books ahead so I should meet my good reads goal by the end of November. I should also meet the goal in my head of 120.

I think..I will leave my goal for 45 books for next year also.
Im in the middle of 3 or 4 books..maybe my total for the year will be 33 or 34?

Just reached my goal for the year of 175 books on Tuesday. Some of the short stories I've read over the year have been counted so I'm not really celebrating yet - I'll keep reading of course and that will lessen some of my guilt for the short stories. :)
