The Unlikely Wife (Love Inspired Historical) by Debra Ullrick
How exciting to have Selina Farleigh Bowen, the heroine from The Unlikely Wife, a January 2012 release from Love Inspired Historical with us today.

1. Tell me the most interesting thing about you. Well, I up and married a man I ain't never even met. All 'cause I fell in love with his letters. Letters I ain't never even read. My friend Aimee read 'em to me though. And what she read me... Woo wee. That man is sweeter than a whole beehive full a honey. He's a God-fearin' man too. Leavin' my Kentucky hills' home was the hardest thing I ever done. But Michael was sure worth it though.

2. What do you do for fun? Just 'bout ever' thing. Sure enjoy catchin' crawdads and cookin' up a mess. I love lookin' for hidden treasures in the good Lord's creation too. Why, theys all kind a beauty out there for a body to see. Just halfta take time to look for them is all.

3. What do you put off doing because you dread it? Killin' a critter for food. That bothers me somethin' fierce. But, when a body's hungry, its gotta do what ever needs doin' to survive.

4. What are you afraid of most in life? Well... To be honest, ain't really afraid of nothin'.

5. What do you want out of life? That's easy. A husband who loves me for me, a passel a babies, and to learn how to read and write. Oh and to help save and doctor as many folks as I can.

6. What is the most important thing to you? Not bein' judged cause of my outside. Been judged that-a-way all my life. Some folks are just plumb mean and don't much care for the way I talk and the way I dress. But a body can't hunt none too easy in a dress. Folks really outta take the time to know a person for who they are on the inside, not the outside. I'm mighty glad that the good Lord does. That He looks at the heart of a man. Wish more folks did that.

7. Do you read books? If so, what is your favorite type of book? Can't read. But, Rainee's teachin' me to. But Michael don't know it yet.

8. If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be? Not sure. I figured the good Lord made me this way for a reason. Now that don't mean I don't need changin' or nothin'. Just sayin' I can't think of anythin' right now.

9. Do you have a pet? If so, what is it and why that pet? Oh, I've had lots a pets. Snakes, squirrels, possums, raccoons, and heaps and heaps of birds. Even had a wolf pup once. Most critters I doctor become my pets. Well, that is until they get better and up and leave.

10. If you could travel back in time, where would you go and why? Iffen a body could go back in time, I'd go back to the garden of Eden and kill that ornery snake that done tricked Adam and Eve. Things would be a whole heap better on all of us iffen they'd a never listened to that varmint, that's for sure. But, can't go judgin' them. I might a done the same thing iffen that was me. Ya know. We always think we wouldn't a done what they done. But not one of knows that for sure. Until we find ourselves in that same mess, we can't. Still. I sure woulda like to have gotten a shot off at that sneaky rascal.
