Am reading Thomas Hardy's 'Tess of the D'Urbervilles' now. It is quite good. My first Hardy book. Hoping to read Virginia Woolf's 'Mrs.Dalloway' or Imran Khan's memoir next.

A confederacy of Dunces. Came across a list of favorite books of Salman Khan of Khanacademy fame . Many of them are in common with my own favorites over the years. Normally dont read books from which I have expectations from , but this seems to be pretty good so far. 60 % done.

I read "The firm" and seriously its awesome. I enjoyed reading through out.. and its pretty gripping

I read introductions and first few pages of the books that I got at the Book Fair. I am reading Sujatha's 'Karayellam Senbagapoo' and Joseph Conrad's 'Heart of Darkness' now.

'The Bourne Identity' is really wonderful! One of my alltime favourite thrillers. I liked the older movie version which had Richard Chamberlain and the Belgian comic version called 'XIII'. Happy reading!

I just finished a book called 'Hannibal : Pride of Carthage'. It is a historical novel set during Roman / Carthaginian times. Quite interesting and filled with historical details. Am planning to read either 'Classics : A Very Short Introduction' by Mary Beard and John Henderson or 'NW' by Zadie Smith, next.

Completed the Krishna key by Ashwin sanghi on sunday,a bit little late in sharing my thought about this book. A good book with fair amount of things we should know about the monuments in our country and its unexpected relationship with the other monuments. Although this book is based on fiction the author had some touches with the philosophy and religion, also he surprise us in some places with his solid built and unpredictable characters.

Over all a nice book to read, can opt to read this once again since some of the areas are most interesting and informative.

SO thats all from now, next i have started reading the King of torts by John Grisham. Once completed will be back with my thoughts.

I'm currently reading "Broken Republic" by Arundhati Roy. The narrative is full of emotion and the author presents her views on the Maoist struggle very vividly. I personally felt the construction of the essays could have been a little better. All said, the book gives good insights on the existing scenario in the vast Dandakaranya forest.

I have read Fury some years back..and some parts of Fury are brilliant like where the author describes how New York is eating him...but I should say compared to Midnight's Children it is a pretty ordinary book..

Love R.K. Narayan just read recently his book "Waiting for the Mahatma"..a brilliant book which shows the tremendous influence of Gandhiji during the national movement and the dedication of the Congress cadres as well as they are limitations...
