This is sitting in my to-read pile too, but I find I'm not motivated to read it because I've seen the movie and know all the plot twist and how it ends already!
I'll have to read it once I've forgotten the movie...

Jenne (jennetheinstigator) | 1179 comments Steph it's this one Rook (Allie's War, #1) by J.C. Andrijeski it's good but I'm having a hard time with it because it's more science fiction than I thought.

Julianne | 354 comments I'm reading The Darkest Night (Lords of the Underworld, #1) by Gena Showalter

message 404: by Christine (new)

Christine | 850 comments I finished Vengeance in Death (In Death, #6) by J.D. Robb which was another solid read from the series. UP next is About a Dragon (Dragon Kin, #2) by G.A. Aiken . I didn't care too much for the first in this series, but some of us have teamed up for a buddy read and hopefully this one will be better than the first.

Buddy read thread is here if anyone else is interested in joining:

Christine | 850 comments I finished About a Dragon (Dragon Kin, #2) by G.A. Aiken and I really think the buddy read saved this book for me. I didn't care for the first half of the book at all, but after discussions on the buddy read thread I think I was better able to enjoy the book for what it is and I really liked the second half of the book.

Up next is either Hard Evidence (I-Team, #2) by Pamela Clare or No Rest for the Wicked (Immortals After Dark, #3) by Kresley Cole . I'm not quite sure which I'm in the mood for now.

message 409: by Paris (new)

Paris (pah13) | 1183 comments I'm feeling pretty lame lately. I have a ton of books I'm super excited to read (some I've had to send backt to the library cause I didn't read them in time) but I can barely focus. I'm super easily distracted at the moment (if only ya'll could see me posting this and how many times I have turned away from it). It's so bad that I didn't even take part in any challenges this month except for 2 and I'm not gonna even do one and the other I've only read 1 of the 2 books.

I'm currently reading Summoning the Night (Arcadia Bell, #2) by Jenn Bennett and loving it. I just wish I could sit and read it without life throwing a squirrel at me.

message 410: by Christine (new)

Christine | 850 comments I finished Hard Evidence (I-Team, #2) by Pamela Clare and I really liked it. I would definitely recommend it to fans of romantic suspense.

Now, I'm going to start No Rest for the Wicked (Immortals After Dark, #3) by Kresley Cole . I wish I was starting Tricked (The Iron Druid Chronicles, #4) by Kevin Hearne but I'm holding out for the buddy read next week.

Lis | 4037 comments Finished Shadow's Fall (Shadow World, #3) by Dianne Sylvan , very good with a $&@%# cliffhanger...
Read Raziel (The Fallen, #1) by Kristina Douglas , because I liked the cover and Blood Rights (House of Comarré, #1) by Kristen Painter for bingo.

Also read Fifty Shades of Grey (Fifty Shades, #1) by E.L. James Fifty Shades Darker (Fifty Shades, #2) by E.L. James and Fifty Shades Freed (Fifty Shades, #3) by E.L. James and listened to Lover Reborn (Black Dagger Brotherhood, #10) by J.R. Ward again since I was a little disappointed the first time I listened.

Currently reading Beloved Vampire (Vampire Queen, #4) by Joey W. Hill

Valerie ~ Val Hall ~ | 9661 comments Started Eve (Eve, #1) by Anna Carey and Back from the Undead (The Bloodhound Files #5) by D.D. Barant .

I'm feeling exactly the same for this entire month now :( I have about six books going for the last few weeks and can't concentrate on any of them for more than 20 pages. If it wouldn't have been for bingo, I probably wouldn't even have finished one book per week.
I have finally started on Sacrificial Magic (Downside Ghosts, #4) by Stacia Kane though and hope that Chess and Terrible can lift me out of my reading slump.

Now I am off to read 50 Ways to Hex Your Lover (Jazz Tremaine #1) by Linda Wisdom so I can finish it before the end of the month since it was a challenge book. And I'm gonna start Magic Without Mercy (Allie Beckstrom, #8) by Devon Monk . Finally feeling excited to get reading again.

I haven't started this series yet but just put a hold on the first one, from my library :)"

I hope you enjoy it. I wasn't sure what to think after the first one because she's created such a unique world. It's PNR, but the Psy give it a little bit of a sci-fi twist. But I was so intrigued by her world and some of the characters that I decided to keep reading, and it's become my favorite PNR series. I love how well she balances the strengths of the males and the females.

Sandra | 25908 comments Mine to Possess (Psy-Changeling, #4) by Nalini Singh Just finished it and I must say I didn't find Tally as awful this time around.

Desire Untamed (Feral Warriors, #1) by Pamela Palmer is next up

Valerie ~ Val Hall ~ | 9661 comments After Fair Game (Alpha & Omega, #3) by Patricia Briggs and Tricked (Iron Druid Chronicles, #4) by Kevin Hearne, which were awesome books, I am having difficulty reading Enraptured (Eternal Guardians, #4) by Elisabeth Naughton. I am hoping that Uncertain Allies (Connor Grey, #5) by Mark Del Franco, will help.

message 433: by Jai (new)

Jai | 4 comments I am reading Web of Lies by Jennifer Estep and I am so enjoying it. Val Hall I agree with you Fair Game by Patricia Briggs is totally awesome; I haven't read Tricked yet but I may in the near future.

Jeann (Happy Indulgence) (happyindulgence) | 1151 comments I am nearly finished Envy (Luxe, #3) by Anna Godbersen , it's a frivolous read for me and isn't too deep (although I am craving something a bit deeper/darker)

Might read Divergent (Divergent, #1) by Veronica Roth or Touched by an Alien (Katherine "Kitty" Katt, #1) by Gini Koch next.

Valerie ~ Val Hall ~ | 9661 comments I've started reading something that reminds me of Alice in wonderland...Tim Burton style. Where innocent, fluffy white bunnies are bloodsucking, carnivorous things. The more it looks nice and harmless, the less it is.
Four chapters into a steampunk Wicked as They Come (Blud, #1) by Delilah S. Dawson .

I read that last month and it was pretty good. I don't usualy read steampunk either. You hit the nail on the head though with the tim Burton / Alice and Wonderland!

Valerie ~ Val Hall ~ | 9661 comments Please, no spoiler Jenne...I just started it. :)
Right now Tris is in denial, I hope she get on with the program.

Also reading Magic Without Mercy (Allie Beckstrom, #8) by Devon Monk and listening to Storm Front (The Dresden Files, #1) by Jim Butcher . Kindling the Moon was one of my favorite reads of 2011 and the new one Summoning the Night is my favorite read of 2012 so far. Love that series.

message 445: by Sandra, Kindle Operator Licence Required (new)

Sandra | 25908 comments Thanks Paris, yes, I've got my copy of Summoning already :)

Hope its going to be one of my favs as well, plenty of people have highly rated it.

Valerie ~ Val Hall ~ | 9661 comments Love James Marsters's voice of the Dresden Files. I think he's the reason I persevered with the books because the first ones did not do it for me. Now, I am going crazy waiting for the next book. Keep reading Paris, they get better and better. Well, except for Ghost story who's read by somebody else than James...better read it yourself.

I'm wishing I had learned about him doing the audiobooks back when I had a commute. I would have been caught up with the series by now. But I live 5 minutes away from work now so I have to figure out how to squeeze in listening. I think I'll try listening while cleaning this weekend. That should be a good motivator.
