Gah, the time delay is crazy! I am guessing it will be two years until the next A&O -- the next Mercy is in 2013, right?

And here I was thinking I'd be the first to comment on
. Well, well - you ladies beat me easily. So, I just want to add - why is the next book on Charles and Anna not out yet? I have finished this one!!
I don't think it is clear she will definitely be writing another alpha book - only maybe. There is a recent interview of Briggs and the link is posted in the blog giveaway and contests folder in this group. She said mercy gets 3 more books including one that is coming out spring 2013. There may be another Alpha book - her publisher wants that. And she plans to write another book in the mercy verse.
Starting
wondering if I can drag it out for the rest of the month until
comes out on April 3rd. Definitely not likely since I'm really enjoying this series.

On to other stuff I guess.

. I can't wait to see what Devon Monk does next. At least now you're all caught up. :)

So it's a good thing that I've been saving them up and still have books 4, 5, 6, and 7 to read before #8?? ..."Devon Monk wrote them in groups of three, so you could read 4-6 and be okay, although there is still a story arc for the whole series. The last book,Magic For A Price, will be out this November. You might want to wait until it's closer to November and read them all at once.
Yeah I don't know if you could read 6 and then not read 7 immediately. I couldn't. But then my will power is not that strong. lolEven though I'm totally late to the party, I'm sad that the series is almost over, but I'm also glad that I only have to wait until April and then November instead of years like I have had to wait for the end of other series that I've really enjoyed.

I guess I was forced to stop at #6, because that's how many were out when I started plowing through the series. I went back and checked, and you're right; it would be difficult to stop at that one. Actually, she pretty much makes it impossible to stop reading through the series unless we have to wait for her to write the next one. I'm sad it'll be over too, but maybe she'll come up with another great UF series.
My reading has been all over the place.. I read
and
short story. Read a couple of the kindle freebies
and
which led to
and now
. Alpha male aliens coming to earth to find a mate to share.Did my yearly re-listen of
and now listening to
again so I'm ready for the movie...
Jean wrote: "I guess I was forced to stop at #6, because that's how many were out when I started plowing through the series.."That's what happened to me. I read the first three back to back right after book 3 was released. After that I decided to wait until I had at least two to read back to back, and next thing I know she's the whole way up to #8. At this point, I may just wait until the last one this fall so I can read them all at once.
I just finished
and
. I loved this trilogy and it may be the first time I've really enjoyed a book/series that got so much attention. But what do I read next?

Christine wrote: "I just finished

since we've had to wait for it for so long. I haven't read it yet, but I've heard good things.
If Fair Game was in my hands I'd be reading it. LOLInstead, while waiting for my copy to come I'm reading
and very good it is too :)
Jean, Sandra, and gin, Thanks for the input. I was leaning that way myself, but they're all library books (except Doubletake which I pre-ordered months ago), so in the end I let the due dates decide and started The Iron Knight. After this, I've got a buddy read of Ceremony in Death and then I'll be reading Fair Game. Finally!
I've got so many other new releases to catch up on, maybe I'll make April my new-release-catch-up month.
Sandra wrote: "If Fair Game was in my hands I'd be reading it. LOLInstead, while waiting for my copy to come I'm reading

"Amy, I read the first Dragon Kin book and was not impressed. Or rather, I should say, the heroine was too abrasive for me. Are the other books about the same as the first, or do they get better?
Christine, they get MUCH, MUCH better. I absolutely adored this one and #2 is definitely an improvement on the first. The first books in all of Shelly Laurenston's (G.A. Aiken is a pseudonym) series aren't the best ones, IMO.
Amy or "Ames" wrote: "Christine, they get MUCH, MUCH better. I absolutely adored this one and #2 is definitely an improvement on the first. The first books in all of Shelly Laurenston's ([author:G.A. But I needed some incentive (other than that darn dragon challenge) to get back to this one. The back-log of new releases in series I already love keeps growing every week!
well, I was reading the Women of the Otherworld series but I don't know... not very sure if I want to continue it for now so I moved to
on audio.
I just finished
, which was great and
, which I didn't enjoy as much as the first couple of books in the series.Going to read
next.
I'm halfway through
and struggling. I'll finish it but I'm not happy. Also started
for some light relief. Much happier.
Sandra wrote: "I'm halfway through

I thought it was just me and my mood about Real Life interferring. LOVE the first one in the series and read it twice w/i a week of the first reading.
Yes, for some reason I'm having the same problem. I've been trying to convince myself to read it since it came out. I used to love fantasy books, but maybe I won't be buying any anymore. Still, I've put it in a lot of challenges this month so I have to finish it. LOL
Sandra wrote: "I'm halfway through

was fantastic though...well, at least in my opinion :)
Well, I've already got #3, so I'll eventually get to it.As for Bayou Moon, I'm already at pg 225 and not feeling it.
I finished
. While I questioned the need to really add this book to the series, and I would have been content with the way The Iron Queen ended, I enjoyed this book. I guess I really am a sucker for a happy ending after all.
I'm almost halfway done with
it's just starting to get interesting. Quite a bit of world building in the first half. Then after this
(needing a highlander fix!) then

I'm reading
. :-DI can't believe I'm nearly caught up on the series. One down.... A bajillion to go....
It's time for my monthly 'In Death' buddy read which has been a great way to keep me coming back to this series! This month it's
Ugh. Been so sick I haven't been able to read. Totally lame, but I'm starting to feel better so I'm actually starting to read
and
. Hopefully I can get back on track now that I'm starting to feel better.
Paris wrote: "Ugh. Been so sick I haven't been able to read. Totally lame, but I'm starting to feel better so I'm actually starting to read
and [bookcover:Wrong Side of Dead|..."It's okay when you're just sick enough that you have an excuse to stay in bed and read. But is sucks when you're so sick, you can't even focus or stay awake to read.
Hope you're all better soon!
I'm mid way into
but having trouble staying motivated to read it... I'm tempted to move onto
, which I just grabbed from the library..
Reading
and
. I'm enjoying the series enough at this point, although I'm more interested in the actual search for Pandora's box than I am in most of the relationships at this point. And I'm totally dying to read Paris' story, but I refuse to skip ahead. Also trying to get
finished finally and the Cat/Bones story in
. I just can't really stay focused enough to read.
Regina wrote: "That book is really good but very painful to read at many parts."As I was drifting off to sleep last night, I realized that this book is making me down-right sad. It's great when a book can elicit strong emotions, but I may have to take a break and read something else today. We'll see how I feel when I sit down to read tonight.
