I've just finished and liked it more than I thought I would. I really wanted to start the next one so I did, even though I need to read the ones from the library first. These include and have to be back very soon :/

Annnd I started listening to today which I'm liking. I tried to read the book a while ago but stopped so this is working much better! (On a different but slightly related note I've also started watching all the Buffy series since I watched some of them when it was on TV but not every episode - I was only like 10 at the time)

Sure....I had in my ''currently reading'' shelf for months because I would only listen to the audiobook with my hubby (we both wanted to see how much the tv series compared).

We have started the second book at the beginning of January...I just hope we can finish it before the tv series starts back again.

I recommend Cooke's adult series. The characters in it are the parents of the characters in the YA series. Plus you get some background information that has to do with Zoe and Nicholas.

I admire everyone who can do audio books. I've tried and for some reason they just don't work for me. I guess I just need the feel of a book or ereader in my hands.
I just finished it was good.
Now I'm working on only thirty pages in but really liking the writing so far.
I've got still waiting in the wings trying to get them read to finish off some challenges but running out of time so we'll see how it goes.

I found the Allie Beckstrom series one of my favourites -- I love uf where there is actually a cost or tradeoff to doing magic. The first few books just keep getting better, so you have something good to look forward to!

That's good to hear Leah Thanks! I actually tried the series a couple of years ago and couldn't get into it, but this time I ate it up. I've done that recently with a couple of other series too. Maybe I just wasn't feeling the UF in early 2010 like I am now, but I definitely am not at a loss for things to read now.

Ames, I re-read Room with a View, I had read it in HS, but it meant so much more to me now. My book club met last night to discuss it and we watched the move - -we laughed so darned hard during that scene.

I did too. After being a little disappointed in the previous one , this one was great. I read somewhere that this one was suppose to be the end of the series, but she got a contract for an additional three.

It is not as good as the Riley Jensen series. Risa is not as wolfie as her Aunt Riley. Risa has little battle training so it's not fair to expect a kick-ass heroine like Riley (even if I did). The intrigue and conspiracy is less thick, the action mostly takes place in Melbourne so there is less a range of locale.

It is not fair to compare the two...but I like the characters and want to know where the series will go. I would borrow it if I were you.

I am on #5 of the Georgina Kincaid series, I am just loving it -- I have been listening to them back to back. Just loving it.

@Alyssa Briggs is a favorite of mine. Maybe skim Iron Kissed? Here is the short version of what happened (view spoiler)[Mercy was drugged and raped by a guy who was stealing Fae artifacts. Mercy killed him while still drugged. Adam tore apart his body after the fact, but Mercy saved herself. Her recovery was hard. She blamed herself for the rape bc she flirted with her rapist. She ended up choosing Adam over Samuel. (hide spoiler)] Hope that helps!

I agree. There was just something missing from Hunter's story. I'm so glad Chase's book turned out well. And yeah to three more books!
