I'm about 1/3 into

I really liked the Maximum series Valarie even though they are very YA they are pleasant and comfy. Does that make sense? I felt like I was with a good friend.
Finished
Cute Chrissy book, though you do need to have read at least some of the previous books to get the full effect.

LOL, I love that title. :)
I am reading (and it is so good!)
and I am listening to
That was the first gargoyle books I'd read, Gin. I enjoyed it and you've reminded me that I need to finish that series. :) Hope you enjoy it!I finished
, which I didn't realize was the final book b/c I didn't know it was a trilogy (BLAST!) and just started
.
@Steph: I didn't realise it was a trilogy either - did you like it though? At least I can read #2 and #3 together now (I think you were the one that warned of a cliffhanger at the end of Love is Fear) but I see the last one has a bit of a lower rating, intrigued by what could have caused that.
Thanks, Sandra. Haven't had much time to read since I started it. Okay so far, just a lot of descriptions of her "keepers". ;)Josie, I really enjoyed the books! I like her writing, for the most part, although she does have a tendency to repeat herself (even within a single paragraph); she'll just say the same thing differently. But, if you can get past that, her writing it kinda dark, which I like. This one the characters went through some pretty twisted stuff, which was fun (for the reader anyway). Not sure I'm thrilled about how the characters ended up and there were several "what happened to ..." questions at the end. But, she mentioned more to come in that world, so I'm hopefully those will be answered eventually.
Thanks, Steph! I'm going to try to read the last two over Christmas - if I remember what happened in the first, it feels like forever!

As a linguist and expert in language acquisition and learning, I've dealt with evolutionary psychology more than a few times. It is a really interesting theory that I personally like and believe. Here's the link to the EP journal, just in case you are interested.

I've added it to my shelves. I'm definitely planning on reading more non-fic next year, so maybe I'll this will be one of them.
Hi everyone, *waves*I've been a member of this group for a while but this is the first time I've interacted
I've just finished
a huge 5 stars and I'm now starting
*waves to Sarah*Just finished
which is a pressie for my nieces (I bought the 1st 4 books for the twins) and it was very good for a kids book, lots of fun :DD
LOL! Reading books before you gift them ... why didn't I ever do that?! I saw that movie and thought it was really cute.I'm reading
and re-reading
w/AH. If anyone would like to join us for a re/read of SIREN, please feel free to join us here.
which is actually quite decent. IT's like Fifty Shades of Gray without the laughably bad writing. Too bad that one got famous.
'How to Train Your Dragon' the film was so cute! @Regina: I'm only up to (actually currently listening to) #6 in the Dresden Files but I have to say that Summer Knight has been my fave so far. I've gotta keep going with them though!
Probably going to read
now after finishing One Grave at a Time which I hate to say dragged a bit for me.

Josie you should definitely keep going. Although I do love them all after Summer Knight.

thank you!
Sandra wrote: "Had to be really careful so it still looks new."That I can do. Most of my books look brand new, even after I've read them. ;) As long as hubby doesn't get his mitts on my PB, they stay that way.
@Regina: GTK! Hopefully by this time next year I would've caught up with that series :)I once got a book back from someone who'd borrowed it - well it was unrecognisable! Ripped, bent, worn and it was like brand new before!
Josie wrote: "I once got a book back from someone who'd borrowed it - well it was unrecognisable! Ripped, bent, worn and i..."That's sad and rude at the same time.
I'm always very careful when I borrow books, as I'm sure you are too Josie. Betcha that loser isn't on your lend list anymore :D
They'd be banned for life from borrowing. :/Yay! Cady! I'm anxious for #3. And, because of those books, I now wish I could adopt a hedgehog. LOL! But, seriously ... look at this adorable baby!
(view spoiler)["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>
I am ;) and she is certainly not being lent anymore books! I feel I'm quite a laid back person and I'm not too anal about my books because I get a lot of second hand ones but I would never have given back a book in that condition (especially as it was new!) - if I'd been in her situation, I would have bought a new copy! Tsk some people.
Me too, Josie. I certainly wouldn't have returned it in worse condition that I rec'd it. If you wanna crack spines and ruin the book, buy your own and treat it how ya like. That's just rude.

Same! I'm half way through. I recently finished
I wasn't too crazy about Pack Challenge, but I really enjoyed the last two in the trilogy. Miki and Angela were great.
