I just got

Speaking of Nalini Singh...I just read through the R&R thread for her Guild Hunter series, but I'm still not sure. So for those who have read both: if I am really into the Psy Changeling series, how likely am I to like the Guild Hunters series?

If it helps you to get through Eternal Rider (which I really liked), I thought Blaze of Memory is one of the weakest books in the series. Not a bad book, just not quite as good as the ones before. Actually, it and the one after (Bonds of Justice) are my least favorite in the series. But a bad Nalini Singh is still a pretty good book.
I've read both of Nalini Singh's series and love them both. The writing style between the two is somewhat different, and GH is much darker. I will say that I didn't care for the first GH book, thought the second book was okay, but loved books three and four. I think for me, Raphael in the first book was just a little too much the cold, calculating alpha even though I totally understood why he was the way he was. He just didn't do a thing for me. But a friend of mine loves him and loved the first two books, but thought three and four were just so-so. It seems to be one of those series that you just don't know until you try it because everyone has such different opinions.

Thanks Christine for the feedback. I was kinda figuring that the next two in the Psy-Changeling series weren't going to be my favorite just because of the fact that they are pretty Psy heavy and while I like Judd and Sascha, it has taken me awhile to warm up to Faith and Ashaya (still not sure I like her that much).
I think I'll have to give Guild Hunters another chance then. I tried the first one a long time ago and didn't get into it, but that was the same for Slave to Sensation, so who knows if a second shot'll be what I need to get into them.

You have to get through Dev's and Max's books so you can be rewarded with Drew and Indigo. That one is right up there with Riley and Mercy for me. And then there is Hawke.....
I have a friend who is currently struggling through book 3 of GH. I encouraged her to keep going because I honestly think each book gets better, but she just does not like Elena and Raphael. To each his own. But Dmitri in book four is so hot. He may just be my new favorite vampire (Sorry, Bones!)

This is exactly why I'm anxious to start Dev's book. lol Mercy and Riley was my fave so far and if Dre and Indigo are anything like them, then I know their book will be great. And Hawke...cannot wait for Hawke's book.
And I really shouldn't start a new series yet, but I think that I may just have to find a way to get the Guild Hunter series to fit into a challenge or two that I have to do. lol

Thanks Lis. I was wondering why I kept seeing Guild Hunter books on the Urban Fantasy shelf while looking through it for Bingo. That helps a lot.

Elena is definitely like Kate Daniels in my mind & Raphael warms up to her nicely. LOL.
Speaking of Kate, my copy of

My copy of Kitty was mailed 28/7 so should be here, *fingers crossed* by the end of the week or early next week.

Next, I'm stating

Just finished a re-read of

Great series, one of my favorite UF series I've started. Mercy is great.

I love it too! Right up there with Kate Daniels.

I haven't read that one yet, I've heard great things about it.

Hope you like it, seems like that one is a love-or-hate book for most people. It's a bit different than the rest do the BDB series. I liked it though!
