SOS: Serious Overload of Series discussion
RIP: Dead/Expired Threads

Currently Reading 2012
I'm on Chapter 11, and it hasn't totally grabbed me yet, but I like how it's following more characters than usual it seems.
I finished
last night. It was good, but felt like a filler book.I just got
, so that's next. Followed by
. :D
Currently trying to get through
before the end of the day...not sure why I'm struggling with it..probably all the pressure of needing it for a challenge. And the fact that all I want to do is go back to reading Psy-Changeling books. Up next there is
and finishing the novella in
.Speaking of Nalini Singh...I just read through the R&R thread for her Guild Hunter series, but I'm still not sure. So for those who have read both: if I am really into the Psy Changeling series, how likely am I to like the Guild Hunters series?

Not a bad book, just not quite as good as the ones before. Actually, it and the one after (Bonds of Justice) are my least favorite in the series. But a bad Nalini Singh is still a pretty good book.
I've read both of Nalini Singh's series and love them both. The writing style between the two is somewhat different, and GH is much darker. I will say that I didn't care for the first GH book, thought the second book was okay, but loved books three and four. I think for me, Raphael in the first book was just a little too much the cold, calculating alpha even though I totally understood why he was the way he was. He just didn't do a thing for me. But a friend of mine loves him and loved the first two books, but thought three and four were just so-so. It seems to be one of those series that you just don't know until you try it because everyone has such different opinions.

I was kinda figuring that the next two in the Psy-Changeling series weren't going to be my favorite just because of the fact that they are pretty Psy heavy and while I like Judd and Sascha, it has taken me awhile to warm up to Faith and Ashaya (still not sure I like her that much).
I think I'll have to give Guild Hunters another chance then. I tried the first one a long time ago and didn't get into it, but that was the same for Slave to Sensation, so who knows if a second shot'll be what I need to get into them.

And then there is Hawke.....
I have a friend who is currently struggling through book 3 of GH. I encouraged her to keep going because I honestly think each book gets better, but she just does not like Elena and Raphael. To each his own. But Dmitri in book four is so hot. He may just be my new favorite vampire (Sorry, Bones!)

And then there is Hawke.....This is exactly why I'm anxious to start Dev's book. lol Mercy and Riley was my fave so far and if Dre and Indigo are anything like them, then I know their book will be great. And Hawke...cannot wait for Hawke's book.
And I really shouldn't start a new series yet, but I think that I may just have to find a way to get the Guild Hunter series to fit into a challenge or two that I have to do. lol
@ Paris, I like both series but the Psy Chg are a little more to the PNR and have somewhat warm and fuzzy endings with a continuing storyline. The Guild series is a little more UF and darker but it fits the archangel characters. They've been around for so long they're cold, unchanging and little intrigues them. But Raphael warms up... I like the GH series just a bit more because Elena's a warrior like Kate Daniels and Riley Jensen are in their worlds, she can take care of herself.

That helps a lot.
I love both series and GH is on my fav shelf ;) Elena is definitely like Kate Daniels in my mind & Raphael warms up to her nicely. LOL.
Speaking of Kate, my copy of

So jealous... I loaned my kindle to a friend just so I wouldn't be tempted with the tues releases and I could finish my bingo read. The 2nd half of

I agree totally! Nalini Singh is just plain awesome. I'm so excited for Jason's book!

Hope you like it, seems like that one is a love-or-hate book for most people. It's a bit different than the rest do the BDB series. I liked it though!
