Josie | 1967 comments Finished River Marked (Mercy Thompson, #6) by Patricia Briggs and Sacrificial Magic (Downside Ghosts, #4) by Stacia Kane - loved both of them!!
RM was great, I loved all the stories that were told. Afterwards I skimmed through Moon Called and it's so clear how much Mercy's developed and how much she's gained.
Scrifical Magic it was probably my fave so far. I should hate this series but quite the opposite ;)

Steph Ann | 1220 comments Finished Magic on the Storm (Allie Beckstrom, #4) by Devon Monk and loved it! Now reading Bayou Moon (The Edge, #2) by Ilona Andrews , hoping to finish it before the next shelf gets called for Bingo.

I waited up for it to download to my kindle last month when it came out. I was so excited for it! I rarely re-read anymore (too many books on the TBR mountain) But I've been getting the itch to re-read the series.

Michelle Tempted By Books (michelletemptedbybooks) Working my way through Kitty Norville right now. Almost done with Kitty and the Silver Bullet (Kitty Norville, #4) by Carrie Vaughn , as in I should finish within the hour and then on to Kitty and the Dead Man's Hand (Kitty Norville, #5) by Carrie Vaughn . Also need to get back to Oracle's Moon (Elder Races, #4) by Thea Harrison and A Perfect Blood (The Hollows, #10) by Kim Harrison , they are sitting on my bedside table making me feel guilty.

Paris (pah13) | 1183 comments Finished Visions of Heat (Psy-Changeling, #2) by Nalini Singh yesterday and started Caressed By Ice (Psy-Changeling, #3) by Nalini Singh . I'm about 30% of the way in and I'm starting to see why everyone loves Judd. Vaughn's still my favorite, but it's still early and that could easily change.

Also trying to get through The Taken (Celestial Blues, #1) by Vicki Pettersson . I love Vicki Pettersson and the concept behind this book is great, but there's something about it that I'm not completely connecting to. I'm about halfway through and I'm hoping that something changes soon because I really wanna love this book.

Valerie ~ Val Hall ~ | 9661 comments I'm starting Tangle of Need (Psy-Changeling, #11) by Nalini Singh . I just don't know how you can read so many books at the same time.

I LOVE Judd!

I also love Vicki Pettersson, but I've heard this book isn't quite up to snuff with her previous works. I've been putting off starting it for that reason....

Cris S. (bleunween) | 26 comments Anyone here already read The Goblin King (Shadowlands, #1) by Shona Husk ? is it good?

Just finished listening to Shadowfever (Fever, #5) by Karen Marie Moning

Btw, the audio books from Fever Series, especially the last ones, are the best I've ever had the opportunity to listen. Highly recommend them :)

Valerie ~ Val Hall ~ | 9661 comments Bleunween wrote: "Anyone here already read The Goblin King (Shadowlands, #1) by Shona Husk? is it good?"

Read it and found it an ordinary PNR. Ok, but not great for an uncommon creature like a goblin. I was expecting more. Mind you I read the next one just to see if it improved or not. Have you checked out the free prequel? The Summons A Goblin King Prequel (Shadowlands, #0.5) by Shona Husk It is not much but it gives you the general idea of the writing style and story.

message 813: by Cris (new)

Cris S. (bleunween) | 26 comments Thanks. Will check :)

Valerie ~ Val Hall ~ | 9661 comments Me think it's the face on the cover that got you interested more than the story Bleunween.

A book away from an episode of hoarders (fidgit77) | 740 comments I just started Succubus on Top (Georgina Kincaid, #2) by Richelle Mead on my lunch hour while waiting for the next bingo shelf to be called.

I didn't want to put it down.

After I 'googled' Jensen Ackles (which sounds like so much more fun than it really is) to find out who he is, I can see the resemblence.

Immortal Beloved (Immortal Beloved, #1) by Cate Tiernan - really enjoyed this one so I'm now reading: Darkness Falls (Immortal Beloved, #2) by Cate Tiernan

I can see the resemblance too but the image looks like a bad photoshop job as his head doesn't look like it belongs on that body.

Oh how I love downside ghosts besides Fever it's my favorite series! If the first one seems strange ..."

Haha it really does seem strange at the moment, definitely! First the drug addiction, then the strange ingredients for spells and the pokey little alleyways and people staring into windows, I kind of like it though.

I've nearly devoured the whole book in about 2 days!

Next up will be: Blackstone & Brenwen - The Mirror & The Meretrix by Andrew D. Mellusco Water (Akasha, #1) by Terra Harmony The Moon Dwellers (The Dwellers, #1) by David Estes A Fistful of Charms (The Hollows, #4) by Kim Harrison

First 3 are for reviews and I'm really looking forward to them! I've recently joined a few challenges to help me achieve more reading goals and they are fun so far :)

Cris S. (bleunween) | 26 comments Any of you already read The Name of the Wind? I'm seriously in love with the main character so I'm reading this book bit by bit as I think it's a trilogy and I don't really want to say goodbye to him so soon.

Jenne (jennetheinstigator) | 1179 comments Christine wrote: "I am loving (in a bizarre twisted way) Unholy Ghosts (Downside Ghosts, #1) by Stacia Kane"

That's the thing about Downside Ghosts it sucks you in a bizarre way. The characters have so many problems and really should be the bad guys but they're not. It works well in a twisted way. I can't imagine Chess without a drug problem now. I think it would take away from the story if she was to sober up.

message 827: by Sandra, Kindle Operator Licence Required (new)

Sandra | 25908 comments Her drug problem still bothers me, but I do love Terrible :)

Reading Delicate Freakn' Flower (Freakn' Shifters, #1) by Eve Langlais while waiting for a Bingo Shelf :)

message 828: by Josie (new)

Josie | 1967 comments Tbh, I thought her drug problem would bother me more than it does. Don't get me wrong, I'd love her to stop, but I doubt it'll a quick fix - more like a long process filled with mistakes/problems. In a purely selfish way, I'm not sure how much I want to read about someone's self-control :/
In fact, I trust Stacia Kane to keep being awesome.

Just finished Grave Memory (Alex Craft, #3) by Kalayna Price . The second half was pretty darn good. Team Death ;)

Valerie ~ Val Hall ~ | 9661 comments Josie wrote: "Just finished Grave Memory (Alex Craft, #3) by Kalayna Price. The second half was pretty darn good. Team Death ;) "

I take it Death has more than coffee. I don't know when I'll get my hands on this one. I hope in the next 3 months.

message 830: by Josie (last edited Jul 06, 2012 04:33PM) (new)

Josie | 1967 comments Lol Val! I've always been on Death's side, maybe because I don't like (view spoiler)(ish, if you haven't read the first) in general and so I'm a bit biased. I didn't mind Falin in the first book but I'm not on his team although I feel like I'm gunning for the "wrong" one. Anyway, if you're a Falin fan then he's not really in this one so you'll probs be disappointed.
I suppose I shouldn't rush you to read it since there is no word on the next one :(

I know the feeling! Definitely put your name on the list, sometimes libraries respond to the demand and buy additional copies.

Oh I did. Had to make sure I wasn't too far down in the list. I hate it when I end up being number 200 something. lol. Thankfully I'm number 6 on Demonglass and 15 on Spellbound. Now I just have to hope people read fast.

That would be horrible. I am so thankful that my library system does. I am so bad, I go to it almost everyday and check to see if I've moved up. lol

And just now on further inspection looks like even though there are 6 holds pending, there are 6 books sitting on the shelves available and one of those is supposed to be at my library so I'm going down there in the morning to see if it's there. I really have no patience.
