Paris (pah13) | 1183 comments I'm so bummed. I forgot to turn on my Kindle this morning before leaving work so I have to either run to Barnes and Noble on break and use their wifi or wait until I get home to get my goodies that came out today. So excited to read Once Burned (Night Prince, #1) by Jeaniene Frost Chasing Magic (Downside Ghosts, #5) by Stacia Kane and Changeling (MetaWars, #2) by Kelly Meding . I just don't know which one to read first.

They are both interesting..which one are you starting first?

Valerie ~ Val Hall ~ | 9661 comments I was pleasantly surprized by Immortal Coil by C.I. Black . While a very insecure heroine is not really my thing for a pnr, I liked the 2 souls sharing one body thing causing many funny moments. It helped that it was a freebie at Amazon when I got it.

That's the direction I was leading. Good to know you're enjoying it. I'm definitely going to start that today. Thanks!

Kathy Ann'tie (kstevenson17) | 5 comments As soon as I am done with A Quick Bite (Argeneau, #1) by Lynsay Sands I am reading Wicked Nights (Angels of the Dark, #1) by Gena Showalter ! I can't wait to read Zacharels book!!! I am a big Lords of the Underworld fan and this is a spinoff of that. I love Gena Showaltersnwriting, the last book was hilarious.

Well, I've got to read most of Riley first before I delve into the spin off, so it will probably be Once Burned (Night Prince, #1) by Jeaniene Frost then Tangle of Need (Psy-Changeling, #11) by Nalini Singh which I got from the library. Still got a couple of Lords to read before Wicked Nights (Angels of the Dark, #1) by Gena Showalter

Got to polish off my June challenge reads first, and Once Burned is due to hit my letter-box early next week if it doesn't get here by Friday.

Valerie ~ Val Hall ~ | 9661 comments In other words Sandra...you've got about 10-15 books to read before you get to them. I'm holding off until July to fit them into challenges.

message 724: by D.G. (new)

D.G. | 2752 comments Sandra - I also got Tangle of Need from the library this week and need to read it soon. I really hope it fits next week's shelf in the Bingo game. :)

Well probably. I must make room for the Rileys & Lords soooon. And Tangle & OB are in challenges for July already.

message 730: by Lis (new)

Lis | 4037 comments Just grabbed Once Burned today but going to try and hold off til Saturday... It just HAS to fit the called Bingo shelf, right? I'm afraid of getting half way thru to sit aside for a different book, that's criminal!

I did start Chasing Magic this week and its going to be my fav of the series so far, if she doesn't throw some $&@?! cliff hanger in there...

I love this series. I really need to catch up and read Vicious Grace (The Black Sun's Daughter, #3) by M.L.N. Hanover and Killing Rites (The Black Sun's Daughter, #4) by M.L.N. Hanover

message 732: by Sandra, Kindle Operator Licence Required (new)

Sandra | 25908 comments Paris, I've got #1 - #3 already, and I'm really liking it so far.

Josie, sadly I've only read #1, planned on getting the rest from the library, but they never seem to be in. Might have to reserve them.

message 733: by Josie (new)

Josie | 1967 comments Don't worry, I've only read the first two! Though it's a series I really want to finish by the end of the year at the very latest. In fact ideally over the summer so that might be my new aim :)

GTK about Unclean Spirits, I've had that tbr for ages lol!

Another one that's been on the TBR shelf for ages and I never see anyone mentioning it on GR. What's it like?

message 739: by Sandra, Kindle Operator Licence Required (new)

Sandra | 25908 comments It's actually quite good, certainly holding my interest. A fallen angel has been trapped in Hell for several hundred years the plaything of Lucifer.

She escapes and then has to decide what to do to earn redemption and how to survive the modern world and hunters out to return her to hell.

I finished Chasing Magic (Downside Ghosts, #5) by Stacia Kane last night. Sooooo good! I'm always sad when I finish a book that is that great. Atleast I have Once Burned (Night Prince, #1) by Jeaniene Frost to try to pick me back up.

message 746: by Steph, Serious series addict (last edited Jun 28, 2012 05:04PM) (new)

Steph (angel4492) | 32697 comments Regina, I read Once Burned (Night Prince, #1) by Jeaniene Frost and LOVED it! Definite must-read for any and all Vlad fans, IMO.

I have Chasing Magic (Downside Ghosts, #5) by Stacia Kane and Wicked Nights (Angels of the Dark, #1) by Gena Showalter both staring at me ready to read. But, I am holding off for the next Bingo shelf to see which may fit. (I think I can, I think I can, I think ... )

I also got: Darkness Devours (Dark Angels, #3) by Keri Arthur , but still have to read #2.

I recently read: First Frost (Mythos Academy, #0.5) by Jennifer Estep Touch of Frost (Mythos Academy, #1) by Jennifer Estep Kiss of Frost (Mythos Academy, #2) by Jennifer Estep Taming Her Wolf by Eve Langlais

I would suggest that those who have already started Mythos do NOT go back and buy First Frost, you will not learn anything you didn't learn in #1+.

Taming Her Wolf was a trip. Eve's a hoot and her characters are too. Plus, their hot, so that's fun. ;) Looks like it'll be a series.

AND, I'm happy to announce that I've finished the final book in TWO series/trilogies! WOOHOO :) Check & Check!

Last Rite by Lisa Desrochers Bloodrose (Nightshade, #3) by Andrea Cremer
SO many good series books coming out this summer. So many delicious reading choices!

message 747: by Alyssa (new)

Alyssa (lyssad87) | 974 comments Ooooh.... Last Rite by Lisa Desrochers .... I haven't read it yet. How was it, Steph? I'm sad it's the last one.

Literary Ames (amyorames) | 1854 comments Read: Destiny Kills (Myth and Magic, #1) by Keri Arthur The Gathering Dark by Leigh Bardugo Rachel's Totem (Cougar Falls, #1) by Marie Harte Busted by Lizzie Lynn Lee Paranormalcy (Paranormalcy, #1) by Kiersten White Networking for People Who Hate Networking A Field Guide for Introverts, the Overwhelmed, and the Underconnected by Devora Zack The Velveteen Rabbit by Margery Williams The Boyfriend List by E. Lockhart It's Not All about Me The Top Ten Techniques for Building Quick Rapport with Anyone by Robin Dreeke Ral's Woman (Zorn Warriors, #1) by Laurann Dohner

Highly Recommended The One and Only Ivan by Katherine Applegate ★★★★★ An insightful book I'll definitely be re-reading.

Currently reading: Quiet The Power of Introverts in a World That Can't Stop Talking by Susan Cain Loving it so far. It's very revealing.

message 749: by Literary Ames (new)

Literary Ames (amyorames) | 1854 comments Steph, congrats on finishing to two series/trilogies! I'm adding Taming Her Wolf by Eve Langlais to my wishlist. I do enjoy Eve Langlais's books.

Steph - I agree with you. Fortunately, I got First Frost (Mythos Academy, #0.5) by Jennifer Estep for free, but I still think the backstory was done better in Touch of Frost. I guess I didn't need the detailed prequel.
