Christine | 850 comments I'm starting Touched by an Alien (Katherine "Kitty" Katt, #1) by Gini Koch . I've read 20 pages so far and it promises to be quite entertaining.

Very!

That's why I decided to switch to what I thought it was erotica Unleashed (Ross Siblings, #1) by Cherrie Lynn but it's really more of a contemporary romance. I like the hero a lot - he's really level headed - but the heroine is a wreck. At least I'm almost done with it.

I know! Between the E title and the author's L and I initials, I worked this one into a lot of challenges. Plus the nice grey/black cover with a single character filled a few as well.

Reading this for the buddy read now. So far I like it, it's kind of amusing.

Julianne | 354 comments I'm reading Magic Burns (Kate Daniels, #2) by Ilona Andrews right now. Loving it of course.

As soon as I finish I'll be onto Touched by an Alien (Katherine "Kitty" Katt, #1) by Gini Koch for buddy read.

Josie | 1967 comments @D.G: Have you read the second? I didn't read the first but Rock Me (Ross Siblings, #2) by Cherrie Lynn was pretty darn good. I mean the guy, wow! He was quite something with his sleeve tats and his apadravya ;)

Paris (pah13) | 1183 comments Christine wrote: "I love Dianne Sylvan's series. A lot of readers were infuriated by some events in book 2. While I didn't "like" it, I felt it really worked with the story and the history of these characters. I'll be curious to see what you think."

I'm guessing the stuff in question was the David/Deven stuff? I think it fit with them perfectly and I wasn't surprised in the least. It'll add an interesting dynamic to the group that's for sure.

I finished the book last night and I loved it just as much as Queen of Shadows. My only problem with her books so far is that there are points during the book where I'm a little annoyed that we aren't farther into the story. They sometimes feel just a tad overlong. But I'm starting
Shadow's Fall (Shadow World, #3) by Dianne Sylvan tonight, so we'll see if the same thing goes for book 3.

message 663: by D.G. (new)

D.G. | 2752 comments Last night I started No Rest for the Wicked (Immortals After Dark, #2) by Kresley Cole in audio (I've heard great things for the narration) and it's smoking HOT! The narrator is a guy and he does the accents so well! I almost had an orgasm when I heard a Scottish character (the men are sooo freaking sexy!)

The story is going OK (not great...those heroines are annoying) and I've rolled eyes several times but I'm most enjoying the narration.

Barbara ★ Finished Final Truth (Truth #4) by Mariah Stewart Living Dead in Dallas (Sookie Stackhouse, #2) by Charlaine Harris Beneath the Neon Moon by Theda Black

Currently reading Geek Love by Katherine Dunn

Lis | 4037 comments Finished Windfall (Weather Warden, #4) by Rachel Caine and Firestorm (Weather Warden, #5) by Rachel Caine . In the 50 theme, read Bared to You (Crossfire, #1) by Sylvia Day and Easy by Tammara Webber .
Knocked off another freebie Ral's Woman (Zorn Warriors, #1) by Laurann Dohner and listened to Kiss the Dead (Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter, #21) by Laurell K. Hamilton .

Starting Thin Air (Weather Warden, #6) by Rachel Caine but also just downloaded Rock Me (Ross Siblings, #2) by Cherrie Lynn and that cover is looking pretty shiny. Might be a good break between the Warden books which get emotionally heavy.

Kerstin | 862 comments I finished Master of Crows by Grace Draven and ended up loving it! 5 Stars :)
I'm currently reading Claimed (Brides of the Kindred, #1) by Evangeline Anderson and I'm also listening to my first audio book ever: The Constant Princess by Philippa Gregory

message 668: by Steph, Serious series addict (new)

Steph (angel4492) | 32697 comments Wow, first audiobook ever. How are you liking it? Are you listening at home, work or driving?

message 669: by Kerstin (last edited Jun 16, 2012 12:28AM) (new)

Kerstin | 862 comments Unfortunately I'm not able to listen at work, so I'm listening to it at home. It's alright so far, but I'm not overly fond of the narrator and at times my mind just starts to wonder and I realize I have no idea what happened in the last couple of chapters and have to go back.

message 670: by Steph, Serious series addict (new)

Steph (angel4492) | 32697 comments LOL! I've had that happen to me as well. Sometimes I find that I actually prefer the narrator's voice when I play it at a faster speed. It's not Alvin Chipmunk fast or anything, but some narrators speak so dreadfully slow that I could read 10 chapters by the time they read me 1.

message 671: by Kerstin (new)

Kerstin | 862 comments Hm, that's a good tip. I haven't thought about playing around with the speed.

message 672: by Steph, Serious series addict (new)

Hi, Gin! Yep, thank goodness or I'd go nuts with some of the slow speaking narrators. I listen to my audiobooks on my laptop using VLC and/or on my iPod using iTunes when I'm mobile.

I really need to start Estep's YA series. I'd forgotten how much you enjoyed it, Sandra. I've moved it up on the endless TBR list. ;)

How many reads do you get though a week? I can only ever read 2 books because I only get some 'me' time when the kids are in bed and I read for a couple of hours a night. I'm currently reading Fallen (Fallen, #1) by Lauren Kate for my YA Bingo shelf and then Kiss of Fire (Dragonfire, #1) by Deborah Cooke for my Free read.

Depends on my plans for the week, but I can read anywhere from 3-6 books a week now that I have my Kindle. I am always reading at least 2 books at a time, one on my Kindle and one physical book.

Currently reading [bookcover:Dark Frost|11022222] and Shadow's Fall (Shadow World, #3) by Dianne Sylvan for Bingo. (apparently it's gonna be one of those days where Goodreads doesn't like posting one of my book covers. grrr)

How was Blue-Blooded Vamp (Sabina Kane, #5) by Jaye Wells after the last one I gave up on the series.

message 692: by Steph, Serious series addict (new)

Steph (angel4492) | 32697 comments Oh, Jenne, you should check it out since it's the final book in the series. I enjoyed it. I thought Wells did a good job of wrapping things up. I have to say (spoiler for those who haven't read any of the books yet; won't spoil you, Jenne) (view spoiler) I LOVED Giguhl, funniest, horniest demon out there in UF-land.

See that was my problem with the last one Sabina was too tame. I liked it when she kicked a$$ & asked questions later.

message 695: by Steph, Serious series addict (new)

Steph (angel4492) | 32697 comments Yeah, I hear ya, Jenne.

Finished The Siren by Tiffany Reisz today and I'm stuck on what to pick up next. And, really not feeling like listening to A Hunger Like No Other (Immortals After Dark, #1) by Kresley Cole at the moment either, so that's paused.

Eh, I'm sure I'll find something else to start this evening. Can't go long w/out reading or I get grumpy. LOL!
