January Read: A Texan's Promise

Happy New Year! Our first group read of 2012 is A Texan's Promise by Shelley Gray

The only rule is wait till about half way through the month to reveal any main plots so as not to ruin it or others. :)

I am excited for our group to read this book together. It has a lot of discussion points.

Has anyone started to read this yet? Any thoughts on the story line. I admit it was some times a little hard to read because it deals with something so horrible and personal but the way Clayton looks after Vanessa and how the two interact make this book a great read I think.

I just started this book the yesterday. I was excited to read it to get a change to read an e-book that I've downloaded! Had no idea what it was really like but so far so good...only about 1/3 of the way...

I've already read it, but you will all finish it just in time to read the second in the series, A Texan's Honor, which releases on 1 March.

I had no idea there was a 2nd one...it's actually a really good story. I didn't know what to expect but I'm liking it. I'm about 70% through...

I finished the book! Was really good...I liked the story. I had wished the suspense of Price coming to the ranch in Colorado would have been a little more. I almost wished that it had ended at that chapter wanting you to find out what happened in the 2nd book! But then that's since I know there is a book 2! It kind of reminds me of the Love Comes Softly series where the story line continues but each book ends wrapping up that storyline...What did everyone else think???
