December read: The Dovekeepers

I sincerely hope that everyone had a chance to read this! I absolute loved it! It wasn't particularly fast paced or even terribly thrilling, but I found it to be utterly enthralling!
I find myself still thinking about the characters, even weeks past. Yael was by far my favourite, and I found myself missing her through the book as I heard the stories of the other three women. I loved their silent strength, invisible to all but each other.
I especially enjoyed learning the history behind the story. If you have a chance, check out some pictures of King Herod's temple. It paints such a clear image of what they had to face while secured there.
