I'm 33% in right now and so far it's really good!

Terab (fiddylover) | 54 comments Just finished reading Naked (The Blackstone Affair, Part 1) by Raine Miller -it was really, really good. Reminded me of a shortened version of 50. Very commanding, powerful, possesive. However, this story was very, very short! I felt it missed some depth to it and I wanted more, more, more! Hopefully book 2 will go into more depth, I didn't want to stop reading.

~Megan~ (megadee) I'm reading that one now, Jenny, and enjoying it a great deal! Maya Banks' Highlander books are the closest I've ever come to the magic of Garwood's Highlander books.

That's some high praise, Megan! Makes me want to move them up the TBR

message 1505: by ~Megan~ (new)

~Megan~ (megadee) Well, they're not equal to Garwood, but I've enjoyed them all immensely.

Susan (susayq ~) (susayq) | 6062 comments I'm almost finished with Torment (Fallen, #2) by Lauren Kate I like it, but I don't think I like it as much as the first one and I think this one is more emotional than the first one.

Rachel the Book Harlot So I finished The Hallowed Ones by Laura Bickle and it was really good! I really liked it. I had a few minor quibbles but all in all a great read. Definitely looking forward to Book 2.

I think I might read His Very Own Girl by Carrie Lofty next.

Elishia | 2620 comments I'm off to get it now then.

I've just finished Moving in Rhythm by Dev Bentham which was really good. Thanks Carrie for the Random.org suggestion because I don't even know how this book ended up on my TBR list so probably wouldn't have got read.

Now starting Simply Irresistible (Lucky Harbor, #1) by Jill Shalvis as a buddy read.

Lisa Jo (lisajo85) | 35 comments I just finished an awesome contemporary Sultry with a Twist (Sultry Springs, #1) by Macy Beckett . It was an arc for review...I picked it because the heroine's name was Mae-June July Augustine! Has to be one of the silliest names I've ever seen...but the book was fabulous. Contemporary romances aren't even my favorite romance genre, but I just gobbled this one up!

Now I'm starting His Mistletoe Bride by Vanessa Kelly .

message 1523: by Elishia (new)

Elishia | 2620 comments That name alone is making me want to read it as well.

message 1524: by Lina (new)

Lina | 5563 comments I'll be moving Sultry with a Twist up my TBR, I got it from my Discover a New Love membership.

message 1530: by Carrie (new)

Carrie (icanhasbooks) I'm reading Ward Against Death (Chronicles of a Reluctant Necromancer, #1) by Melanie Card and The Nightwatch by Sergei Lukyanenko

Rachel the Book Harlot Oh, I read The Nightwatch by Sergei Lukyanenko and saw the film. I'm interested to hear what you thought of it, Carrie.

I'm currently reading Sandman Slim (Sandman Slim, #1) by Richard Kadrey (this sucker was $.99 at Amazon so I couldn't pass it up) and I'm also reading His Very Own Girl by Carrie Lofty .

message 1532: by Carrie (new)

Carrie (icanhasbooks) I didn't even realize they made a movie of it until today.

Rachel the Book Harlot I can't remember how I found out about it. I think it was in a forum where people were discussing various vampire novels.

That's exactly why I've been putting it off, too.

message 1538: by Elishia (new)

Elishia | 2620 comments I've put it off for the same reason. I've only read 1 chapter and I already think its sad.

I have to be in the right mood to do "sad". I guess I'm too delicate. *snicker* (Okay, even I can't hold a straight face while saying that.)

message 1542: by Elishia (new)

Elishia | 2620 comments PMSL. Well i'm also reading a YA book so think this will be the perfect time to read it or i'll never get to it.

I'm in the "never get to it" boat. I've had it sitting on my Kindle for well over a year, and still haven't started it. I thought about it, though. That's gotta count for something. ;)
