Let me know how you like that one, Carrie. I thought it sounded cute."
77% done. It's cute, although right now I want to smack Adam.

I just finished

I like to read Fredrik's book , do you know if he's got a book?

I just finished

Glad you enjoyed it, and I have no idea if he has one, this was my first book by Eve Langlais, I'm going to be checking out more of hers in the future for sure.

Finished
this morning and gave it 5 stars. Great read - totally surprising! (Just don't read the book blurb first; it has spoilers.)

I read the first couple of chapters of

I like the story but I might have to stop reading , it has a lot of editing errors .

Agree 1000%! It can make or break your book. My thing is, if you're going to put a product out on the market, one that you have put your blood, sweat, and tears into, why not make it the best that it can be? Editing isn't an extra step, it's part of the entire process!
Sorry, got carried away with the ranting. lol It's just that it drives me nuts. Especially when you see that a story/author has great potential.

I actually just saw a post from the author a few days ago here on GR. She said the book was being pulled for edits.

I totally agree with all of you. I edit on the side, and just helped someone clean theirs up. She was signed with a fly-by-night ebook "publishing house" (I use that term lightly) who took her very first novel and threw it on the market. They claimed to have edited it, but there were pov issues, typos, problems with continuity and the character arcs. It was a mess. When someone pointed this out to her, she got out of her contract and is doing it right this time around.
The thing I see happening out there is this: there are a lot of ebook publishers preying on first-time novel writers. When writers get done with their very first manuscripts, they feel like they could walk on water. Nobody's going to convince them they don't have it all figured out, or that they need to hone their skills. Some people take advantage of that mindset, and claim rights to their works and royalties all with the stars-in-their-eyes promises of making it big. Then they throw the crap on Amazon with a snazzy cover and reap the benefits.
There's a "rule" in the writer's world that an author really shouldn't pursue publication (traditional or Indie) until they've at least written their fifth book. By then, they've got it figured out. Too many are jumping the gun these days.
Sorry...this is obviously a touchy subject with me, too. LOL

Yes I saw that too, so I read the rest of the book ignoring all the errors. It was good but I couldn't get to the characters , there were some conversations in it that was just unrealistic , the characters actions and reactions weren't logical. It was 2.5 star for me.

I want to read this series (mainly because I like the covers)i've been looking at them for months. You and Lisa Kay have both recommended it so I should probably move them up the list.

They are good , I actually can't wait to get my hands on the next one!
Just finished
. Fantastic book, though there is a sticking point for me in the plot. Even still, I ended up giving it a 4.5 for the emotional factor alone.

I took a short break from this series, but hoping this book is good as the three as before :)

This is Butch's book, right? If so, it's a good one. :)

Yes Ma'am it is. I'm about 30 or 40 pages into it so far. I enjoyed the first three, not sure why I took a break LOL. I've been working on the Virgin River series but sad to say that my library doesn't have the next few, so I must go purchase them :(.

I tore through this whole series like nobody's business. Phury's book wasn't that great, but I loved the rest. I am struggling with the latest one though (Lover Reborn), and had to set it aside.

I'd say I've blown through the Virgin River series. I think I'm on book 11? or maybe 12... I cannot remember. I've heard a lot of people say they weren't too fond of Phury's book. I hope it doesn't make me put it down and not want to read it !
@Hayley - I'll have to check out the Virgin River series. Sounds good!!
For Phury's book... It's not earth-shattering terrible. There's other stuff going on, so that'll keep you hooked, I think. I just don't think she (Ward) had him in the right position/state-of-mind to find a shellan.

Same here Kyra I read them back to back with little sleep in between. Phury's book made me slow down it bored me a bit but it was all relevant and loved the ending. Lover reborn is quite good once you get into it, I wasn't that excited to read Tohr's book, I was just glad there was no Mr X and Mr O's those scenes are so annoying.

I've enjoyed the Virgin River Series... !
@Elishia - As the series progressed, I actually caught myself starting to skim the Mr. X and Mr. O parts. (At this was at a time when I never skimmed - it freaked me out. LOL)

I'm late to the game but I just wanted to say you made excellent points, Kyra. :)
