Rachel the Book Harlot Laura wrote: "Love that series!!!"

I really wanted to like it but, unfortunately, it didn't work for me. :( There are 2 things that happened in Book 2 that really put me off of the series.

Elishia wrote: @rachel is it a good series?

I loved the worldbuilding in Book 1 but I found Book 2 disappointing. However, it's gotten really high ratings so I might just be odd man out. Again. lol

So now I'm not sure what to read next. I think I might read I Am Not A Serial Killer (John Cleaver, #1) by Dan Wells by Dan Wells but it's received mixed reviews so I'm a little wary. Also, I'm really behind in my personal romance yearly challenge so I don't know. Gah!

There's another series that I have on my list that I haven't started yet. Too many series, too little time.

Thanks! So far, so good. It's got a little suspense to the story line, and it's well thought out and executed nicely. Little over halfway, and I don't want to put it down. (Stupid job. Stupid need for money to live...and for books.) ;)

I've heard about I Am Not A Serial Killer (John Cleaver, #1) by Dan Wells but haven't read it. I'll be watching to see what you think.

I am LOL... I just got so burned out on romance after so many years it could be a long time before I go back. But the mysteries I'm reading do a little romance in them lol....

Finished More by Sloan Parker . What a fantastic book! Plot, character arcs, emotional journey - all of it was great, plus she tossed a little suspense into the mix. Perfect!

Loved that book it was a surprise for me I didn't read much m/m then and didn't read any erotica, but liked the story. Oh I've emailed you.

Thanks - got your email. :) And I was surprised by this book, too. Not by the erotica or M/M/M (because, come on, it's me LOL) but the vested interest I had in the story. It had all the elements I love, and they came together beautifully.

Finished In a Wolf's Embrace, and started Colters' Woman (Colters' Legacy, #1) by Maya Banks this morning. I've been putting this one off for awhile, so I hope it's good!

message 936: by Elishia (new)

Elishia | 2620 comments I've been wondering if to read this for a while so i'll see what you think of it.

Rachel the Book Harlot I finished I Am Not A Serial Killer (John Cleaver, #1) by Dan Wells and it was great - disturbing, intense, & disconcerting - but great. Now I'm trying to decide if I should move forward with Book 2 or take a mental break with something fluffy & fun before I head into John Wayne Cleaver's mind again. Maybe I'll start Matthew (Circle Eight, #1) by Emma Lang .
