What the?! I can understand some playful banter, maybe, if they'd gotten really emotionally involved about some characters and were trying to tease you into their way of thinking... maybe.. but really!? I'm with Laura on this one, sounds completely childish.

@CaroB - It really was. I was totally blown away by their behavior. Teasing I could take, but they were very serious. Thing was, I knew how passionately they felt before I said anything...and then I didn't even bring up the book - they saw my review in the status updates. It was crazy, and I'm glad it's over. Moving on to bigger and better, right? :)

I have a shelf like that! It's called: "to be read" *snicker* Probably about 75% of the books on my shelves are smexy reads. Lately I've been getting into Lorelei James and Cherise Sinclair. And a lot of menage (M/M/F & M/F/M) and M/M reads. I'll have to check out Charlotte Stein. What book would you recommend I start with?

Okay, Elishia. I've got your back on this one. LOL Just go to my profile, select "erotica" and then whatever else you're looking for. Everything has a category. (i.e., M/F, BDSM, Menage) Just about every category listed in your challege is the name of a shelf I have. For the ones I don't have a shelf for (like self-published), I can verbally give you a recommend. Past that, just look for the high ratings and you're golden. :)

Oooo...I'll have to add that to my "salivating" shelf. (That's my "next up" shelf. LOL) I prefer M/M/F over M/F/M myself. So, score!!

Elishia | 2620 comments Ha ha I know its not as bad as the m/m one i'm doing 170 books and all different categories,(some of which all already freaking me out). Thanks Kyra checking your shelves out now (they're so organised). Lol Jenny same here, i'll have a llok at your shelves and see if you've read any I still have on my tbr pile

Thanks LK!!! At least all of you who did like it can accept and understand why I didn't care for it as much you did. That is what makes all the difference!!!!

Well, what immature actions from those who call themselves adult....sounds like to me they need to learn what agreeing to disagree means as well as differences of opinions. I think you are with the right group now as I have yet to see anyone here be mean or nasty over someone not liking a book. I am very comfortable with expressing my opinions with this group, they may jokingly pick at me every once in a while but it is all in fun...not to be mean and nasty and cause hurt feelings ☺ It's the concept of respect that a lot of people rarely use any more and without it they have difficulty of accepting the opinions/feelings of others. It's kind like the old addage "Choose your battles wisely" and why choose something as simple as books as a battle when there are more important life issues LOL

message 761: by [deleted user] (new)

@Robin - Well said, Robin. And I'm glad to hear everyone here is pretty easygoing. Teasing I can take - hell, I welcome it - but nastiness...no thank you. As I'm slowly getting to know everyone, I see I've made the right choice in groups. :)

@Elishia - Have at 'em, Elishia. Hope you find what you're looking for.

message 763: by [deleted user] (new)

Just finished Cowgirl Up and Ride (Rough Riders #3) by Lorelei James . Yeah, boy, was that a good read!! Can't wait to get to the next, but I'm going to read Without Reservations (With or Without #2) by J.L. Langley next, and finish up Aiden's Charity (Breeds, #12) by Lora Leigh . Then we'll see how much time I have before the August challenge starts.

I love all these series, I need to pick up Rough riders and breeds again got about half way though both. Love with or without series ( I've been waiting ages for someone's story that I can't discuss till you've read this one)

message 765: by [deleted user] (new)

@Elishia - Ooohh...it's still an ongoing series? Sweet! (I love it when I'm not completely behind the times.) LOL

message 766: by Elishia (new)

Elishia | 2620 comments lol. Yes there's only 4 books and one of those is a novella you don't really have to read it as they're not really part of the series although there names get mentioned in this one. There are some short stories as well (those were what got me into reading m/m)

message 767: by Lina (new)

Lina | 5563 comments Kyra wrote: "@CaroB - Moving on to bigger and better, right? :) ..."

Definitely!

And I second the smutty-smut-smut comment... I don't actually have a shelf called that, but I do love me some erotica from time to time.

Kit★ (xkittyxlzt) | 1416 comments I just finished A Rake's Vow and it was pretty good, I think it'll get a 3.5 Stars from me.

As for people being snarky and mean because someone has a different opinion of a book, that's just lame. Of course people are going to have different opinions, just like with everything, food they like, clothes styles, types of cars, movies, tv shows, hobbies, I mean wow. Sometimes people are so stupid :o

I am! I can't stop reading it. I was sneaking it in throughout the day at work, too. LOL Now I'm reading snippets as I catch up on emails and stuff. *addicted* I think I know what's going on "behind the scenes" already even though I'm only at 33%, but that's okay. It doesn't take away from its awesomeness! (I'm curious to see if I'm right.)

I hope I'm wrong. I'm such a smarty pants thinking I got it all figured out. LOL I'd love to be surprised by it all. I'll probably tear into the next one ASAP. Just love it.

You should reread them!! *peer pressure* LOL

message 784: by Rachel the Book Harlot (last edited Jul 26, 2012 05:17PM) (new)

Rachel the Book Harlot I finished Gwen's Ghost by Lynn Kerstan . It was cute escapist fun. It's very quirky and light -- good for a rainy day. I liked the paranormal/intrigue part of the story (the H's mission) but I felt the main romance was a little lacking. I just didn't feel there was enough build-up so I didn't completely buy their love in the end.

Now I'm going to switch gears, since I've been in a bit of a slump, to a post- apocalyptic dystopian YA novel: Partials (Partials, #1) by Dan Wells by Dan Wells.

I finished Without Reservations (With or Without #2) by J.L. Langley , and even though I'm supposed to be working this weekend, I caved and started With Caution (With or Without, #3) by J.L. Langley . These books are soooo going to put me behind, but I don't care. ;)

Terab (fiddylover) | 54 comments I've been wanted to read the sequel to Spellbound (Spellbound, #1) by Cara Lynn Shultz which is Spellcaster (Spellbound, #2) by Cara Lynn Shultz but I read Spellbound so long ago I forgot some things, so I'm re-reading it so I can move on to Spellcaster; however, one of my favorite authors Nicole Williams just released a book called Crash by Nicole Williams and I just purchased it last night and now I can't put it down. LOL Dying to get on to the next, but I'm scaling myself back with Tied Up, Tied Down (Rough Riders #4) by Lorelei James ...which I somehow think is going to get my blood pumping, too. Haha! I tell you what, I won't be able to stay away from With Abandon (With or Without, #4) by J.L. Langley for long. *cringe* Maybe I will read that on next...
