no I got the Kindle 3g, I do not have a computer at home and the Kindle 3g works like your cell phone so I don't need wifi. I looked at the Fire but since I could not download books from home it just did not make since to me to get it.
Hi Michelle!!!! I'm doing a bit of a Nora Roberts marathon myself at the moment. What do you think of Blue Smoke? I'm seeing a few Christine Feehan readers out there at the moment, I should try her again, it's been a while for me...
Hey Michelle! Glad to see you here :)I'm reading
and am honestly kind of bored reading it. It's moving veeerrrrryyy slow. I hope it picks up soon.
Ann wrote: "she is a new author to me and I'm loving the story!"Yeah, I just read #2 last month as a "buddy read" and saw the latest one at the library today.
Jenny wrote: "Rachel, I've heard so many good things about that one. I look forward to hearing what you think."Eeeep, well I thought Lord of Scoundrels was just okay. The story & writing style just didn't work for me but I am definitely in the minority because nearly all of my GR buds who read it loved it. So, I am odd man out.
(view spoiler)
I freaking hate when that happens! :)
Now I've started
by Barbara Samuel.["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>
Rachel, I hate that when it happens, too. I always feel it is me. Or my mood. **sigh** But, it probably isn't, in this case; I haven't read
in ages; I'm betting it might be a little dated on re-read.
With all the chaos in my house, I am trying to squeeze in listening to
and reading
- enjoying both of them.

I'm really getting into the historical mystery books and there are so many new to me authors to chose from.
Ann wrote: "I'm really getting into the historical mystery books and there are so many new to me authors to chose from."Love that genre, Ann! Especially if it has a touch of romance - even if it isn't between the main protagonist. I went to the library yesterday, before the workmen got here, and picked up
. Dying to crack it open.

Lisa Kay - What Angels Fear is a very good book. I've heard they get better as the series goes on. And The Edge Series is one of my favorites as well. Have you tried
yet? Highly recommend this historical mystery. And Jennifer Ashley also writes a historical mystery series that is very good.I'm reading
and
. I'll be starting
and
later this week. So many books, so little time.
Oh, you're killing me with
, Leslie! Man-oh-man! I haven't even taken a shower this morning, which I need to do b/f the workmen get here. Fiddle farting around on GRs. What a surprise! I got
when it was free on Kindle. That's high on my list, too, Leslie! Stop! You're really killing me. LOL!I haven't heard of that last book... **scurries off to investigate**
I have read the whole series my C.S. Harris and love them all, can't wait for the next one but will not be out until 2013.
Thanks Jenny! I bought the whole bundle and have read 3 of them - really good stories. And I'm looking forward to reading the next one in the series.I love to find people who like historical mystery. The P. B. Ryan (she also writes under another name) series is set in Boston and has a romance that's subtle. I love the characters and the storyline.
Always happy to share my obsessions, Lisa Kay!
I finally finished
which was a disappointment and started
which I am really liking....love the format of this book ☺
I'm finishing up
, fixing to start
. Both are buddy reads. I picked up
at the library this morning, so that will be the next one on the list :)
Ann wrote: "~Megan~ wrote: "Is there any romance in this series?
"Yes"
Thanks Ann! It's hard for me to read a book without a smidge of it! I'm dying to read this one now! :)
In the middle of
, liking it lots. Not too much reading being done at the moment, but think the next book will be
. Has anyone ever read Jayden Scott before?
I just finished
by Barbara Samuel. It was okay; well written but very slow paced so some parts were a bit of a slog to get through. I did enjoy the romance to some extent and I really liked the H, Blue. Now I'm reading
by Tracey Garvis-Graves.
I have The Secret Lives of Baba Segi's Wives: A Novel sitting on my shelf. I'll have to see what you think of it, my cousin said it was really good.

. Set in Nigeria, I wasn't sure that I would like this book, but it really surprised me. Started off slow but after the first 50 or so pages,it was one that I wanted to read more and more to see what was going to happen next. Lots of little twists and turns and surprises ☺ I LOVED IT!!! 5 stars. Your cousin was right!!!! It was really good ☺☺☺
