Robin (Saturndoo) (robinsaturndoo) I finished The Kitchen House by Kathleen Grissom which I absolutely loved and gave 5 stars!!!

Now I am reading Fifty Shades of Grey (Fifty Shades, #1) by E.L. James ...I am beginning to wonder if I am reading Twilight (Twilight, #1) by Stephenie Meyer again, which I hated!!!

Robin, that would be because it was Twilight fan fiction before she pulled it and published it.

I'm definitely going to check it out. Thank you! Oh, can I read Book 2 as a stand alone or do I need to read Book 1 first?

Me too. You guys will think I'm crazy but a small part of me wishes we still dressed that way. Can you imagine? lol

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 20787 comments I have book one marked as "to-ponder" in the Madam of Espionage series; now Ann is making me want to change it to "to-read" - LOL!

Yes, Rachel, a part of me does too! Well, maybe not the whale bone corset, but one of the more relaxed ones. LOL!

Hi Rachel, you really should read book 1 first. Just to let you know it is more mystery then romance but very good.

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 20787 comments I love a good mystery. Especially a historical mystery with a touch of romance. ☺ I'm enjoying the Lady Emily Mysteries.

That explains it then lol

message 620: by Robin (Saturndoo) (new)

Robin (Saturndoo) (robinsaturndoo) I guess Fifty Shades of Grey being Twilight fan fiction also explains why this book is so poorly written? I can't believe it, do you know how many times I have already said "ARE YOU KIDDING ME?" in the first 63 pages!!!!!

Maybe that's why I wasn't a huge fan of the series Susan. I only liked Nicole in her book, she was a bitch in the other two.
