Yes, one a month. I read the next in the series this month as well, Midnight in Death which is book 7.5. I don't know if everyone else will read it. It's taking a lot out of me not to just go ahead and read the next one. This is a series I think I could read 3 or 4 in a row of before needing something else.

I've only read one in the Cynster series, it was
. I started collecting the Cynster novelsa few years ago, have about 10 of 'em maybe, but I kept losing track of what ones I had and which ones I still needed. Then I went and got a few of the Bastion Club ones thinking they were ones I needed, got me all mixed up. One of these days I'm gonna sit down and go through my boxes of books and be sure of what I have lol. I do have
set up to finally read in a challenge, so will get to it soon. :)
ARRGH! I need to catch up with my J.D. Robb books. What a tease you are Lisa Kay with all the OMGs!!! Leslie, I've read a few of Stephanie Lauren's books, just starting on the Cynster series (I've only read the first and have the rest on my TBR shelf, so ready to go anytime if you wanted to buddy up for it?

LOL, good to have you on board for that one!

rameau, that's a pity! The synopsis reads well. Do you get any say on what ARCs you get sent?

I do, I request them from NetGalley and they either accept or decline my requests. A friend pointed this and another suspense romance to me and I thought I'd give them a try. It didn't start out as impossibly bad or I would have flounced early on. It just got steadily worse as the story progressed.
This is self-induced pain.
CaroB wrote: "rameau wrote: "This is self-induced pain..."LOL rameau! Often the worst kind!"
I just posted the review. I'm pretty tired though, and might edit it after I've slept and woken up again.

I was trying to remember what you were OMGing about, and I think I got it! This was a great book in the series!
CaroB wrote: "ARRGH! I need to catch up with my J.D. Robb books. What a tease you are Lisa Kay with all the OMGs!!!"Sorry, CaroB, but my pulse rate about tripled when I got to that middle part. Whoa, baby. I thought the last one was good. But this one is about Roarke and Eve.

Sorry, Elishia & CaroB!! I shouldn't giggle, because I feel the same way when people who are farther along in the series talk about a book they are reading. . . but. . . (view spoiler). . . I can't help myself!
This is another series I've had on my TBR forever. I really need to hunker down and start Book 1. I've heard so many great things about it...and Roarke. :)My problem is that I'm kind of a slow reader (I'm realizing this as I do buddy reads) and I suffer from book A.D.D. - I'll have it set in my mind to start one book and then someone will make a post about a cool book and this will be me:
(view spoiler)
The next book on my scheduled TBR will be lost to me. It's a vicious cycle. I really need to work on this. lol["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>
LOL! So CUTE, Rachel! I totally understand the ADD with regards to someone posting something about another book. Drives me crazy sometimes, as I don't want to miss out on the fun. ☺
Lisa Kay wrote: "Kit★ wrote: "I could do a buddy read of the first one for sure :)"Do you mean Devil's Bride, Kit★?
"Yep, that one! :)

lol same here, i've been really bad lately.I'm going to try and work my way through my tbr list before I add more but don't know how well i'll do.
I'm reading
, I can't remember who recommended it to me but I'm enjoying it. It's more than just erotica novel, with some character development that I'm liking.

No problemo at all, I've got 7 months yet to complete the challenge, maybe longer :)
Kit★ wrote: "No problemo at all, I've got 7 months yet to complete the challenge, maybe longer :)"Okay, Kit★, I put it on the "buddy read" calendar for July 9th (after the holiday), with question marks after it... in case we move it around.
Oh! The poll for BOM is close. I won't tell you who is in the lead; however, the numbers are 10-8-5. So be sure to vote what which one you want!Poll posted here.

I've read Devil's Bride recently, but am keen to join you for #2 onwards!
I'm flying through
and loving every minute of it!I'm also curious as to how Ann is liking the Black Tulip :)
Oh god this just reminded me I have loads of the Pink carnation books to read before the buddy read, think I'll have to put In death on hold till I've caught up. Think historical's take me longer to read because I always stop to look things up i'm not sure of (style of clothes etc). I'm still near the beginning of book 1.

I read all of these back to back ( I usually do that with series') i've been waiting for the next book for ages.
Lisa Kay wrote: "How are you liking TMotBT, Ann?"I just got started on the Black Tulip, only on page 45 so far so good!
Susan (susayq) wrote: "I'm flying through

Elishia, we're reading 1 of the Psy -Changeling books each month here in the group reads section. After the one I'm reading right now, I could easily go to the next one right now LOL
