"I just saw Warrior and it was...Gah! Amazing. My favorite movie of 2011 (and I've seen a lot of movies this year). Loved the fight scenes, loved the dialogue between father and sons, and I loved the tension between the brothers. It was great! Much more than I expected. A must see."I posted that a few weeks ago on the other thread. Great movie, it actually had a dialogue in addition to the fight scenes. I couldn't get enough of the tension between the brothers and father. You summed it up nicely, Paul.
Sashana, thank you for your complement and sorry I did not see your post in the other thread, I was a bit premature about posting my thoughts and thought that Warrior deserved its own discussion, but once I posted this topic I thought there had to have been another person posting about the movie.I have seen a lot of great movies, some of my favorites are the Christopher Nolan Batman series, I even went as far to only watch the first two all summer one summer, but never have I felt so passionate about those movies as I do for Warrior.
Since this is a book site; the movie was like reading a passage in a book that not only does it make the plot make more sense, but also makes your life more meaningful.
This movie was truly a "diamond in the rough" type of movie. The complete lack of respect for family morals and values, but in the end the Heart prevailed.
It's understandable why you wouldn't want to search through the whole movie thread, Paul. I'm glad to find someone who enjoyed the movie as much as I did. The Dark Knight Rises trailer didn't excite me but I'll reserve my judgement until I see the movie. I did love the prior two though. I can't wait to see Anne Hathaway as Catwoman because this roll is so outside of her comfort zone.
There's a movie group on here called Movies We've Just Watched, check it out if you're interested. I'm a member, though I don't post often. There is also a 50/50 challenge where you read 50 book and watch 50 movies. Thought I'd let you know about both because you seem to enjoy movies.

Favorite part, one of many symbolic moments, when Tommy is brought to make a decision between brotherhoods.
Favorite theme, the representation between brothers in backgrounds - Same Family, different backgrounds (vastly different).
What does everyone else think that has seen it, or not?
Favorite moments? Favorite symbolism's? Good movie, bad movie? etc, etc.
