Violet rushed inside, dropping the girl gently on a couple connecting desks. She lighted a few candles she found in a cupboard with her wand, the began to work on the cut. "Aguamenti" she muttered, cleaning out the gash, after dabbing it carefully with a handkerchief, she bound it in bandages, tightly. She hoped the Ferula spell was successful and the bandages fully functioning.

Katie (Imadanosaur) | 87 comments Katie woke to someone wrapping her arm, she didn't show she was awake. When the girl finished she opens her eyes. When she looked at her arm she saw that it was clean. In a matter of seconds a haze of blood covered the gauze again. Katie started to sob again.

"What happened?" Violet asked quickly, working to re-bandage her arm again.

Katie (Imadanosaur) | 87 comments "I-I don't know you I c-cant tell you." Katie cried. The girls work went to waste as the next bandage covered in blood "Just t-take me to m-Madame pomferey.

Violet sighed, adding a thick layer of bandages to the gash. It looked suspiciously like something out one of her textbooks. She gasped suddenly. "Did you get bitten by a vampire? Or a werewolve?" she asked nervously.

message 221: by Katie (new)

Katie (Imadanosaur) | 87 comments At these words Katie began to cry uncontrollably, all she could manage was a slight nod. How had someone she hadn't even known figure it out when she was waiting to tell her best friend. Could she even trust her not to tell?

"I think I know a cure for a werewolf bite." she added frowning in concentration. She reached into her leather satchel for one of her textbooks, already searching for a cure for vampires.

Katie (Imadanosaur) | 87 comments Katie shook her head "Those only work a few hours after the bite. It's the 2nd day I had this." At the time of the bite she didn't know why she hadn't gone straight to the infermary, probably just that she could be expelled.

Violet shook her head. "Madame Pomferey won't be able to do much for you now. It's too late. I can go get Professor Snape. Maybe he's make you that special potion." she looked thoughtful, ten shook her head. "He might not agree with it. I guess we can go to the infirmary." She carefully levitated the girl, wishing she could apparate her to the infirmary. She rushed outside, a couple floors up to the infirmary. (Infirmary topic?)

Rebecca May | 472 comments Kit walked into the classroom behind Katherine, still holding the dark-haired girls hand. Their footsteps sounded unnaturally loud in the still quiet of the deserted classroom, and Kit turned to shut the door carefully behind the two of them. Turning back, he saw Katherine standing there, still looking tired, but still the most beautiful woman he'd ever seen. He stepped forward, suddenly ever so grateful to be finally alone with his love, and wrapped his arms around her waist. Kit pressed Katherine's slender form to his strong body and kissed her passionately for a long moment, his tongue flickering in and out of her lips, before he pulled away. "How are your exams going?" he asked her gently. "You aren't...overdoing it, are you?" Kit asked the question hesitantly, not wanting her to think he believed there was anything wrong with her.

((I'm okay with having our fight now. Do you think it'd be a good time?))

Katherine was grateful for the sound of the door closing behind them, granting her the sense of peace she'd long since felt. She'd managed nicely to keep a pleasant grin on her face since coming into Kit's company, but she could tell he still sensed something wrong between the two of them. And, honestly, there was. Summer break seemed so far away from where they stood now, with sexy redheads and kicking babies in the way. Katherine had often wondered if she and Kit would be able to get through it all.

Once they were inside, Katherine turned and willing came into Kit, leaning into him with relief. It seemed as if no matter what went wrong, Katherine was always able to lean into Kit, and have hope that everything could be fixed, just as long as he held her like that. His lips met hers, and Katherine's heart exploded. Her arms automatically wrapped around his neck as she returned his passionate kiss with one of her own. The stress she carried between her shoulders lessened, and she grinned- this time without trying- and hugged him close to her.

When their lips parted, Katherine let her head rest on his shoulder, hearing his soft voice as she closed her eyes. "Exams are nearly over, actually. I think I've done fairly well," She said, nodding. "Well..." she said, raising her head to look at him, "I don't think so. I'm just not used to having so much work to do. What of you, Kit? Are you doing well?" she asked, once again hit with the hurt of barely ever seeing him.

message 228: by Rebecca (new)

Rebecca May | 472 comments ((Yes, I do think it's a good time. :) ))

Kit breathed a quiet sigh of relief as the classroom door shut, leaving him alone in a room with Katherine for the first time in what seemed like forever. His love was smiling, but something behind her eyes made it seem forced. And for the life of him he couldn't figure out what it was - aside from that they'd been seeing so little of each other. Kit ran a hand through his pale blond flyaway hair before stepping forward to kiss her.

He felt her lean against him as they kissed, her arms wrapping around his neck as his own arms went around Katherine's waist, pulling her as close against him as she could possibly be. Kit could feel the passion in her kiss, and returned it with almost desperate feeling. Kissing her, it felt like every wall he ever put up around other people came crashing down, as if every weight he ever carried had suddenly flown away.

Katherine put her head on his shoulder, and he let her, stroking her dark hair gently with one pale hand. "Of course you've done well, Tigress," he replied, letting out the breath he hadn't known he'd been holding. He nodded at her answer to his next question, but wasn't convinced, a slight frown creasing his brow. He pushed her away just enough so he could look into her jewel green eyes, his arms still around her slender waist, like they belonged there and always would. "I'm doing okay. I'm tired of not seeing you, but it can't be helped. I can hold out until your exams are over." Kit shrugged. "Besides, Jesse has been keeping me company. She's been bored too..." Kit trailed off, suddenly hit with the uncomfortable feeling he might have said something wrong. Katherine looked troubled, and Kit's own face was impassive as usual, but he felt a flash of irritation. "What?" he asked, rather more sharply than he'd intended.

((Hope that was a good start to the epic fight... :D))

((Ahh, so perfect!))

Katherine could honestly say that she was happy when Kit kissed her. It was as if his lips held every answer to every single worry she'd had since being back at the school. Kit was the very reason for her problems... She was the very reason for his.. But yet, they both seemed to be the fix to the problems too. Katherine flicked her tongue along her lips as he pulled away, sighing with something like relief.

She could tell, by the look in his gorgeous blue eyes, that he felt the same. She could tell he was troubled about her, and she could tell that he was relieved to be there with her, finally alone, finally in quiet, with no interruptions. She listened to the soothing sound of Kit's voice as she stood, wrapped in his arms. She could tell he was stressed- just as much as she was. Maybe they could overcome... Maybe they wouldn't.

How could Kit forgive her, anyway? She'd been keeping a major secret for months- one he should've known about the second she did. She'd been lying and moving around his back, and giving him all her mood swings and teary smiles in return... How could he ever forgive her for that? She honestly didn't know.

Katherine kept her thoughts to herself, nearly giving them more attention than she gave to what Kit was saying. Kit leaned away from her slightly, looking at her with scared love. She kept his gaze, although she wanted to look away. The guilt, the stress, it was almost overwhelming. She wanted nothing more than to be with him, but it hurt to look into his eyes.
Katherine, however, couldn't look away when he said Jesse's name. The second time for that day... She tried to keep her expression impassive, but she knew the annoyed look on her face wouldn't be overlooked. Kit snapped in question at her and she pushed away from him, walking across the room. Distance...

"I don't know. It just seems like you and Jesse are spending quite a bit of time together. And I've been hearing sorts of rumors, you know? Ones about the gorgeous blue eyed boy, and his redhead girlfriend," she said, more venom in her voice than she intended. She brushed a bit of raven dark hair away from her face.
"I'm not..." she trailed off, finding a loss for words as tears fought to spill over her eyelids.

Kit could have stayed kissing Katherine forever, but he knew he couldn't - much as he might like to. He felt her sigh against him as they finally pulled away, and he drew in his own breath, looking at her beautiful - albeit tired - face fondly. They were both stressed, and they both knew it. Kit just hoped it wasn't going to be a problem. He shrugged the thought away. He and Katherine were together now. Everything would be fine.

Besides, Kit couldn't even think about the possibility fighting with Katherine now. He was still trying to figure out when the best time would be to propose to her, and he certainly didn't need anything going wrong now. Her emerald eyes looked back into his ice-blue ones, and she looked... almost scared. Kit's frown deepened, but Katherine wouldn't look away from him. And he couldn't bear to look away from her, not when it seemed to her that her eyes were pleading with him.

Kit had to stop himself sighing as he knew he'd been right; Katherine was irritated by his mentioning Jesse. She couldn't possibly be jealous, could she? Kit stumbled when Katherine pushed him, not because she was too strong for him, but because it was entirely unexpected. He released her quite against his will, and steadied himself with a hand on one of the wooden desks. Kit's scowl was cold now, and he crossed his arms across his leather-clad chest as Katherine began to speak.

Disbelief and anger grew in his mind as she spoke. Deep down he'd known that seeking the company of a beautiful girl might have given Katherine cause to be uneasy, but it wasn't as if Kit had meant anything by it. He loved Katherine heart and soul... but right now he was growing more and more angry with her.

"You're not what?" Kit snapped coldly at her, his icy gaze steady. "Not accusing me of anything? Because it certainly sounds like you are." He pushed himself away from the desk, and began pacing up in down in the small room, staying a careful distance away from Katherine, who was staring at him as if she was about to scream at him. Either that, or burst into tears. "For Gods sake, Katherine!" he said, frustrated, almost shouting. "I love you! I don't give a damn about Jesse, but you... I know you've been studying, but you haven't been yourself lately. And now you come in here accusing me?" Kit glared at her, not allowing himself to be weakened by the tears glistening in her eyes.

((Thank you!))

Katherine was nearly just as clumsy at Kit was, stumbling away from him. It hurt like Hell to push him off of her, when all she wanted was to be wrapped in his arms. But it didn't seem that easy anymore... Not with a slight bump along her stomach, not with the anger... The sadness. She couldn't explain her sudden moods. They would come in an instant, pass like a storm, and leave just as quick, bringing another in it's place. And the thoughts that were racing through Katherine's head were just as unexplainable. She nearly caught herself thinking that Kit might not love her anymore... It wasn't as if she deserved it, really.

As Katherine gained distance between them she could tell she'd angered Kit. She couldn't decide if she was happy or sad about that though. They'd never fought. Never argued. Never misunderstood each other. Part of Katherine wanted to see what it was like if they did, really, and part of her feared that confrontation. They were both passionate people, and no doubt they'd throw their all in a fight with each other. No doubt they'd do the same with anyone.
Bracing herself for impact she glanced over at Kit, leaning against a desk, refusing to let the tears fall down her face. She blinked them away and gave him a demanding stare. In a way, she challenged him.

His voice was like a slap in the face. He'd never spoken so sharply with her. In fact, she'd only ever heard that tone when he spoke to his mother. That wrenched her heart even more, but she couldn't help but have a satisfied feeling within. He was angry. At least that was something.

She watched him pace up and down the short space of floor in front of her and chewed the inside of her lip as he spoke. She wouldn't interrupt, but she certainly had much to say. "No Kit! I'm not as gorgeous, or as tempting. I'm definitely not as bold or as strong as she is. And you are! You are everything she is, and I am only... What? Still trying to graduate school, not even with a job or a way to depend on myself? She is, Kit. And so are you. I'm just such a... School girl," she said, all of her words rushing together, nearly too fast to understand.

"Besides! You have no idea how hard it's been, trying to keep everyone's relationship with me intact while I study so hard for these tests. I don't have any other way to get where I want to be, and I don't even deserve any of it!" She screamed, sobbing now. Tears had been streaming down her face the whole time she spoke, and she hadn't even noticed. She was so wound up that she forgot each word she spoke as soon as it left her lips. She was only focused on coming apart. Finally releasing all the stress she'd held for the past few months. It hurt so bad to scream at her love like she did, but she had no idea how she could keep from it now.
She had no idea who she was anymore.

Rebecca May | 472 comments ((You're welcome. :) I guess she'll tell him next post? ))

Every muscle in Kit's body screamed at him to move, to catch Katherine as she stumbled backwards away from him. But he had to stop himself from falling, and besides, he was so rigid with shock and growing rage, that he couldn't bring himself to move towards her, even a step. Kit had no idea what she was thinking, that would make her angry enough to actually shove him.

Kit breathed heavily, wondering what the hell could be coming next. Jesse must have something to do with it, but he was damned if he knew what it was. It became clear all too soon, and he mentally braced himself. She was angry, he was furious, and he knew all too well that neither of them would ever, ever back down. But even he was surprised at the challenge in Katherine's defiant stare.

Kit shook his head in stunned disbelief and anger, interrupting her as she finished with "school girl". He truly couldn't believe it. "Don't you dare, Katherine. Do you think I wouldn't love you because of your age, or because you're still stuck at school? Truly, Katherine, you're the most intelligent woman I've ever met, but this is idiotic." Kit knew he was being harsh, stalking back and forth like a caged tiger and throwing words at her like knives. "And besides, Jesse isn't half so beautiful as you. Well, when you aren't glaring at me like I just threw a rock through your favourite window."

He stopped, allowing her to continue with her tirade. At Katherine's words he began to feel a little guilty, but pushed the feeling aside, still glaring at her coldly. But most - if not all - of his anger disappeared as her voice rose to a frenzied shriek, and tears began to stream down her face. Kit still felt like hitting something because of what she'd said, but he made himself focus on what was important. Katherine. He focused on the image of Katherine's face when he'd first seen her, and stepped forward, stopping his pacing and taking her in his arms. He pushed the back of her head gently so her cheek came forward onto his chest, and Kit stroked Katherine's back gently.

"I know it's been hard, darling, I know. But I've missed you too. And you can do anything you want to do, Tigress, you know that." Kit kissed the top of her head gently, feeling her tears splashing on his leather jacket. "There's something else wrong, isn't there Katherine? I can tell. You've never cracked under pressure like this before." Kit hoped she'd trust him with whatever it was - but he knew he was right. Katherine was stressed, yes, but not enough to justify the way she was acting.

((Yep, this one! :) ))

Katherine scowled, shaking her head in anger and disbelief at what Kit said. No, she'd never believe it. Jesse, with her red hair and her fiery gaze, was much more beautiful than Katherine. Even more so now, because Katherine knew she wouldn't look like she did forever. She was already carrying a slightly swollen belly, and it would only get worse as time went on. Katherine wanted nothing more than to hit something and watch it break. Possibly the desk behind her, or the glass window across the room that shed light on their tense situation. Her heart beat hard and her tears fell fast, and fury welled up within her chest. She had no words, but yet she needed to yell.

Kit argued with her like she was just a silly child, which made her point even better, really. What did she have him for? What did he see in her? Even if he told her the answers to those questions, she doubted that she'd believe in that moment. She wanted to shout, to scream and kick. Nothing had ever made her more angry than what Kit was saying. She knew it was true. She didn't want to know, though. She didn't want him to prove her wrong. But she knew she was, here. He had done nothing, and she was throwing a fit. She was nearly about to shout even more when Kit stepped forward, nearly forcing her into his arms. She was too angry and hurt to protest, so she neared him, burrying her face in his chest and sobbing quietly. She could hear the loud beat of Kit's heart and how heavy he was breathing, and somehow she could focus on nothing but the smell of his teeshirt, and how familiar and comforting it was. Flashbacks of meeting him in the diner, and seeing him shirtless for the first time flashed through her mind. How carelessly happy they'd been last Summer and what a meaningful thing it was when they'd shared a bed. Everything they'd been through, down to one moment. Down to this.

When Kit spoke, Katherine was surprised at the softness in his tone. He'd dropped all sharpness from his voice and now he was speaking to her just like he had at his parents house, when she'd vomited in the creek. She shook her head again, never understanding how she deserved him. How could she, after all she'd put him through? She really didn't know about anything anymore. And she couldn't help but be scared. She made herself calm down, taking a few steadying breaths.

She raised her head, cupping his face with her hands. "I haven't told you.." she said, her voice shaky. She met his gaze with her own teary eyes, gaining the courage to say what she'd kept from him. She took one hand away to take his, bringing it to her stomach, where she raised the soft fabric of her shirt. Once his hand rested over her belly, she licked her lips and held back a sob. "I'm very pregnant, Kit, and I'm very scared," she whispered softly, tears streaming silently down her cheeks. Finally, she'd said it. It was over.

message 235: by Rebecca (last edited Aug 03, 2013 03:13AM) (new)

Rebecca May | 472 comments Katherine was shaking her beautiful head stubbornly, her waves of dark hair falling over her shoulders. But her refusal to acknowledge herself as a beautiful, intelligent woman just infuriated Kit even more. Tears were running down Katherine's cheeks still, but Kit just ignored them, still so angry at her that he couldn't decide whether he wanted to break something, or stalk out of the room and slam the door so hard it shattered.

Kit wondered how in the world Katherine couldn't see how perfect she was. He'd told her that enough, hadn't he? No one he knew was as committed as she was, as stunning, as fierce... and how could she not see that? It was truly infuriating. But she was upset, and that was what truly mattered. Katherine resisted as Kit brought her into his arms, but he was too strong for her, and he just waited until she collapsed against his chest, sobbing as if her heart was about to break into a thousand tiny pieces.

Kit just held her to him, letting her cry, letting her take strength from him as she needed. Feeling her next to him once again reminded him of every moment she and Kit had just been alone together, quietly and in love. Katherine was shaking her head again, and Kit bit back an annoyed comment. He had to be here for her, now and forever.

He was surprised when Katherine looked up, and took his face in her hands. He frowned gently, not understanding. What could she possibly have not told him? Her tears hadn't really slowed, and Kit's confusion mounted as Katherine took his hand, putting it against her belly after she lifted her shirt. Her skin was warm against his hand, and smooth, but... her belly was slightly bigger than it should have been. "What..."

Kit was silenced by her next words. His eyes widened with shock. Katherine was still crying, and Kit wanted to hold her, but he just couldn't. Kit pulled himself away from her, his hand leaving Katherine's skin as he moved a few steps away, before collapsing onto one of the empty chairs, his head falling into his hands. Pregant. Kit stayed where he was, truly speechless for the first time in his life, while thousands of thoughts clamoured for attention within his head.

She was finishing school. She had her life ahead of her. And he'd gone and done this to her? Kit felt so bad he wanted to die. How could he have been so thoughtless? But at the same time, he was scared, he was elated, he was shocked. Kit didn't know how to feel. I'm going to be a father. Kit looked up at Katherine, his face even more pale than usual. "I'm sorry, Katherine, I'm so sorry..." Kit was surprised to find he actually had tears in his eyes, and his voice was a little choked. "I should have thought. You have... everything ahead of you, and I've gone and done this? I'm so sorry."

Kit shook his head, a tide of emotions rising. And then he realized one of the implications he hadn't considered yet, and his heart seemed to stop. His proposal. Kit still hadn't proposed to Katherine, and now she'd think it was because of the baby. The baby. They were going to have a baby. He was going to be a father, and Katherine was going to be a mother.

"How far along are you?" Kit asked, because he couldn't think of anything else to say. He stood, walked over to her, and took Katherine's hands. He felt so bad now. "Katherine... I would never had said what I did, if I'd known..."

So childish. Katherine felt so childish, and so out of control over the situation. Here she was, fighting with the man she'd sworn she'd never do anything to hurt. Here she was, telling him that he was no longer a free youngster- he was going to be a father, and she was the one pinning that on him. That was, if he planned on staying after this. And honestly, Katherine wouldn't blame him him if he didn't...
As soon as the words escaped her lips, she knew that nothing would ever be the same. They were not the carefree young adults wildly in love anymore. They wouldn't be able to run free and wild, and she definitely knew she'd miss it. Even if Kit did stay, would Katherine ever be certain that he did it out of true love or the feeling of obligation.

And those doubts killed her. Shattered her heart and the future she thought she'd been so certain in planning. Nothing was solid, and she felt as if she had nothing to stand upon. Her foundation was all tossed up in the air. Kit's eyes seemed to be the only thing that kept her grounded, but at the same time she could barely stand to look at him. It was awful, truly.

Katherine held her breath and Kit's reaction came. She really had no idea what to expect, so when he pulled away from her, she wasn't surprised. She only found herself crying harder, holding her stomach gently as he moved farther away. She watched him closely, refusing to speak. He needed to think, and she knew that. It was so frightening though, to think that he might've been thinking about leaving. It really would kill her if he left, she thought. Which was funny, because a year ago she'd never have let any man have that much of her, but Kit had her everything.

He finally spoke and Katherine looked down, sobbing at his words. He was sorry. So was she... So sorry for what she'd done to him. But yet... He took the blame on himself? How? She shook her head. "Kit... I'm not angry," she said quietly, coming to realization. "I just don't want to loose you."
She leaned against the desk and took a few deep breaths, once again steadying herself. She still couldn't keep from crying though.

Katherine looked over at him again and tried to grin. He stood and came to her and she was thankful for the warmth of his fingers wrapping around hers. She held on dearly and nodded. "I'm nearly... Four months along now. I've been able to keep the bump down," she said quietly, ashamed of keeping it from him for so long. "I'm sorry for keeping her from you. I know it was wrong of me."
She raised one hand to stroke his face, leaning up to kiss him softly. "I want it to be a girl," she whispered, smiling.

That. She was actually happy. She was happy that she was having Kit's baby. She was happy she didn't have to lie anymore. She was happy he knew. And she knew they'd get through it... She hoped, anyway.

Rebecca May | 472 comments All Kit could see was Katherine's face... even when he closed his eyes, even when he looked away from her. He could see the tears streaming down her face, the pain and fear in her eyes, and there were just a few tears making their way down Kit's cheeks now. More than anything, one memory kept flashing through his mind. Running after Katherine on a cold morning at camp, while she shuddered and vomited and cried like nothing would ever be right again. Kit had dismissed the possibility of pregnancy from his mind too quickly, then. He felt an overwhelming guilt. He should have been there for her. Katherine shouldn't have had to bear this alone.

Kit looked back up at Katherine, seeing her hands drop protectively to her stomach, as if trying to keep the child inside away from all the pain. The action brought him back to Earth, pain ripping through Kit like a knife at seeing Katherine this way. His eyebrows shot up in honest surprise as she said she wasn't angry. Well, that was something; he was angry enough with himself as it was.

As he walked over and took her hands, another tear sparked in Kit's ice blue eyes, when Katherine said she didn't want to lose him. He frowned. "You didn't honestly think I'd leave?" Without waiting for an answer he gathered her close to him, hugging her tightly, feeling more emotional than he had, well, since the day in the Courtyard. "You're never going to lose me, babe," he said quietly. Kit pulled away and took her hands again, looking deep into her jewel green eyes, and nodded. "You should have told me sooner," he replied, before she reached up to kiss him gently. Kit welcomed the touch, Katherine's lips soft on his.

He thought about what Katherine said, and then smiled at his love. "I do too," he replied. And he meant it. Having a daughter even half as fierce and intelligent as Katherine would be a great joy to him. Daughter. Kit was going to be a father. He still couldn't believe it was really happening, but he made himself concentrate. He was troubled that Katherine had worried about losing him, and he knew more than anything that if Kit proposed to her she might have doubts.
So... he'd do it tomorrow. Katherine needed to know how he felt about her, once and for all, now and forever. And Kit needed to tell her, to let her know that it was her he cared about, and nothing else.

"Are you free to meet me here tomorrow?" Kit asked her, and then looked down, growing silent for a few moments, waiting for her answer. Then another thought occurred to him. "Clarissa already knows, doesn't she?" Katherine and Kit's mother had been together a lot the morning of her illness, and it wouldn't surprise him if Katherine had told Clarissa. Kit gently placed his hand on Katherine's stomach again, feeling the bump where their child was growing. He wondered at the fact he hadn't seen it before now, but Katherine had been very artful in hiding it. "You have a wonderful mother, do you know that?" Kit said, speaking for the first time to the unborn child he'd only just discovered. Keeping his hand on her belly, Kit leaned forward and kissed Katherine again, more deeply than he had previously. After a moment he drew back. "I'm going to help you get through this Katherine. What do you need?" he asked her, hoping there was something he could do. Kit was happy he knew about the child, now, but he felt an overwhelming urge to do something after not even noticing for four months.

Katherine was thankful for the touch of Kit's soft lips on hers. It was as if the feeling of his breath on her face, and the way his hands wrapped around her waist was enough to calm every fear she held within. She was so grateful for that love. And Kit truly did love her, she knew. Suddenly the fact that she was truly afraid of him leaving seemed unreasonable. She could only mentally slap herself and sink deeper into his kiss. She wrapped her arms around his neck happily as they pulled their faces away from each other.

Katherine drew her tongue over her lips slowly, grinning in true happiness. "I know, I know. Sometimes I'm so unreasonable. I think it might be the baby," she said quietly, running her fingers through Kit's soft hair, looking into his gentle blue eyes with care. The fact that he was still standing there, holding her so close to him, was beautiful. He looked at her like he was meeting her for the first time all over again, standing back in the overly pink cafe, kissing her so quickly, so good. She would never take that for granted again.

Katherine laughed and laid her head on Kit's shoulder, absorbing the fact that Kit wished he'd have a daughter. And with none other than her. It really was the best thing that Katherine could head at the moment, and she could only take a moment to replay it in her head a few times before she eventually had to move on to the next second of their lives.
So, after a moment of still silence, she raised her head, brushing a bit of stray hair away from her face as Kit spoke again.

She nodded. "Of course," she said happily. Nothing sounded more inviting than being back here with Kit. Luckily her exams were slowing now, and she'd have a lot more free time on her hands. At his next words, Katherine blushed, glancing away. She ought have known that she wouldn't have been able to keep very much away from Kit. He was easily the smartest person she'd ever met. She only needed to nod again to confirm his assumptions, hoping he'd forgive her. He didn't push the subject any further, though, so Katherine kept quiet also, waiting for his lead. She let her arms come to rest at her side as Kit's warm hands rested on her slightly swollen stomach, feeling peaceful and comforting. She smiled down at his hands, resting her own atop them as he spoke. When he leaned over, she raised her head meeting his kiss with her own, tasting his lips with her tongue gently, trying to put all of her love into their embrace. After he'd ended the kiss and spoke again she huffed. "I don't need a thing, Kit. I just want you by my side, forever. And I'm sorry for lying to you. I'm not sure why I didn't tell you, really," she said, shaking her head at herself.
"I want to show you something your mother sent, though, can I?" she said.

((I gots an idea!))

Rebecca May | 472 comments Kit felt Katherine sink into his embrace, into his kiss, and slowly he felt all the weeks apart and all the stress melt away into nothing. Everything that had happened in the last hour had been... life-changing, shocking, but all of that went away in the simple need to hold Katherine in his arms, to feel her lips on his and her slender arms around his neck as Kit pulled her closer to him.

Kit grinned along with the dark haired woman as he felt Katherine's tongue run along his lips, and he gently took her bottom lip between his teeth, before she pulled slightly away from him. Kit smiled slightly and nodded at her words. "Perhaps it could be the baby. But you were still foolish to even think I would leave," Kit replied, kissing her cheek as she ran her hands through his blond hair. They shared a moment of silence together after that, each knowing that the other was thinking about the future, the baby, and each other.

Kit smiled, the corner of his lip quirking up slightly as one corner as Katherine said she could meet him, trying to hide the happiness and nervousness rising within him at the prospect of his proposal. It was a mark of how much he loved Katherine that he was nervous about anything. Kit would have to ask Dumbledore for permission to Apparate Katherine out of the castle for a day, but he didn't see that being a problem. Kit shook his head ruefully as Katherine confirmed his suspicions; once Clarissa knew how long Katherine had been able to keep the pregnancy from him, he'd never hear the end of it. A slight shiver went through him as Katherine rested her hands on top of Kits, both of them so close to the child that would soon join them in the world.

Kit grinned as Katherine huffed at his question, his usually icy eyes sparkling like sapphires. "I told you, Katherine. You couldn't drive me away even if you tried." Kit shrugged, dismissing the issue of her lying. He didn't like that she had, but he kind of understood why. Kit raised an eyebrow in surprise as Katherine asked him the question. "Of course. In fact, you have to show me now, otherwise you'll have made me curious and I'll go wild trying to figure out what it is," Kit replied. He leaned forward to kiss her forehead, his hands still resting on the slight swell of her womb, and he looked at her expectantly.

((Cools! Hope that was okay. :) ))

((Ahh, more than okay. I can't even tell you how beautiful your writing is.))

Katherine couldn't stop thinking of the way their lives had went with each other as they stood there, both pairs of hands resting on Katherine's stomach. They'd met by pure chance, Kit just happening to be the older brother of Katherine's friend. And only minutes after meeting her, Kit had given her the most beautiful kiss she'd ever received. She hadn't known it then, but he'd had her heart since that very moment. It just took her a long while to realize it.

And now, at a time that seemed like so many years later, Katherine was forming his child. Their future would enter the world in just months, and then everything would change. It scared Katherine, she had to admit, but after telling Kit and seeing his reaction, she could also have hope. Hope that everything would work out in the end, and they would be just as in love now as they were the day they'd confessed that very thing.

Katherine silently laughed at herself again, wondering what in the world made her think that Kit would condemn her for being pregnant, run away and never talk to her again. Not only was it childish, but it was outright stupid to think Kit would do anything else but what he was doing right then. Katherine was so grateful for Evangeline at that moment, knowing that without the younger girl, she wouldn't have Kit standing there in front of her, trying to ignore the wet spots on his own cheeks.

Katherine couldn't stop smiling either. It seemed as if her moods hit fast and hard these days, staying for short spans and giving way to a completely different feeling when they left. She grinned up at Kit, searching his strangely soft blue eyes for the same feelings she had.
And the best thing was, she found it. Right there in his gorgeous face, open and clear.

Katherine watched him shrugged, and actually laughed, knowing that shrugging wasn't something Kit did often. She knew this whole event had shaken him, and she was glad that his walls completely crumbled with her. She nodded at his reply, taking his hand and making her way to the door. "It's actually one of the most clever things I've seen. She's been mailing me quite often, and you'll be glad to know that we're getting along just fine. But the last package I got was very thoughtful. I think you'll like it. Meet me on the lawn in half and hour, okay?" She asked him, tucking a wavy strand of hair behind her ear, meeting his gaze once more with her own striking green eyes.

Rebecca May | 472 comments Kit realised there were still a couple of tears running down his cheeks, and took one of his hands away from Katherine's rounded belly to wipe them away. Wouldn't do his image any good if he was discovered crying in a deserted classroom. Not that Kit really cared at all about his image at the moment. Right now, his whole world had narrowed down to himself, to Katherine, to their child, and to the quiet contemplation of their past, present, and future.

He hadn't know it of course, but coming to look out for his little sister at Hogwarts had been the best decision of his life. And Kit was endlessly grateful that dear Evangeline had told him that he must make friends. Of course, now that meant Jesse as well, but Kit couldn't find if within himself to think about her right now. He was just glad that Katherine seemed to be feeling better about the whole thing, and that there were no secrets between them anymore. Well, aside from that Kit wanted to marry Katherine, but that too would be revealed soon.

Katherine's laughter filled the small, quite room as Kit shrugged, and he couldn't help a small smile curling the edges of his lips. He let her lead him toward the door without protest, one eyebrow raised. "Is it really?" Kit mused, wondering what in the world Clarissa could have sent. He made a mental note to thank Clarissa, for being there for his soon-to-be fiancé - he hoped - when Kit hadn't been. He nodded at Katherine's request, struck by her emerald eyes. "You have to give me one last kiss before you go, though," Kit said, sweeping her into his arms and kissing Katherine strongly from above, like he had the first time he'd held her. After a long moment Kit let her go, and let Katherine lead him back out into the castle.

((Can you post first at the lawn, please? :)
And here's what I think the plan is, correct me if I'm wrong:
- Finish up Astronomy Tower. (Assuming Brenton and Evie woke up on the proposal morning).
- Do the Lawn sequence.
- Skip to Kit and Katherine's next day, meeting in the classroom, and going to the courtyard for the proposal,
- Evie, Brenton, Jesse, Abigail, Kit, and Katherine all meet up for lunch and catch up on Kit and Katherine's extremely interesting life.
- Kit and Jesses duel sometime later.
- Also, are we doing anything with Chris, or did he just fade away?

Sorry for the excessive planning! <3))

((yeah, that's the plan. Except, instead of having Kit and Katherine meet in the classroom and go, why don't we just start at the courtyard, and say they met at the classroom beforehand? :) All the other plans sound spot-on perfect. And don't be sorry! I love to always have a certain next thing to do. Chris.. He's still here when we need him, but otherwise, I can't see a plot for him right at the moment.))

Katherine decided that this was enough. Kit was enough for her, this quiet moment in the classroom was enough with him, and the love they shared was definitely enough to get them through anything. She was happy with where she was, really. More than pleased. She nodded along with everything, happy again.

Taking a refreshing breath at the door, Katherine smiled at Kit, moving into his body comfortably, letting her head tilt back and her hair fall away from her face as Kit met his lips with hers, kissing her in such a way that really made her want to stay in the classroom for a while longer. It was a kiss that made her know that whatever came, they would handle. Together. Staying in his embrace for a long while, Katherine kissed him softly, surely, to her heart's content, leaning into him. When they parted, Katherine smiled softly, taking one more pull of courage and strength from him before they parted, each of them going down separate hallways.
Katherine went to her dormitory, gathering the most recent mail from Kit's mother, changing into a fresh outfit and combing her hair before she left, a smile still on her face.

((We can put Brenton and Evangeline to rest as soon as we're done with what their doing now, and then after we're finish with K+K at the lawn, we can go to the courtyard, and then lunch with the whole gang. :P ))

((This may the only post I can do today. I have worship practice, church, and studying to do! But at least we're started again!))

The lake was becoming too crowded, so Davina suggested to Amelek that they go somewhere that no one would be able to intrude. The deserted classroom seemed a bit too private just for getting to know someone, but Davina knew her new friend would want somewhere they wouldn't be seen. He looked nervous moving, but Davina shut the door behind them anyway, leaning against a desk. "So, now that I know a little bit about the curse, how did you get it?" she asked, sitting her books down on the desk behind her. "If you don't mind my asking, that is..." she said quickly, not wanting to seem like she was nosy. She was quite curious, though, how one would end up with such a curse as the one he had. He seemed jumpy and he stuttered, along with his appearance. But Davina couldn't be sure that his nature had anything to do with the curse.

((That's fine! As long as we can start up again!))

Amalek played with his tail and related the story of how he got his curse. How he'd not been going to Hogwarts for very long when he'd been cursed. It happened over summer break, and he didn't know who did it, only that they had a hatred of the Potter family. Whatever the curse was linked his an animagus form with his human one so that if he was scared, startled surprised and so on, that his tail and ears would come out. "Some days...are worse than others. If I get really startled, than more of me transforms. My parents threw a surprise party once, and I was so surprised I became my cat form and couldn't change back for two hours." He admitted, his voice losing its purr as he grew less wary of Darina. "We tried going to St. Mungos for treatment, but they said the curse was irreversible...so my mother sent a letter to the headmaster so I can be excused whenever things get too overwhelming."
