"Honestly, don't think anything of it. It was a long time ago. Me and Atari's fifth birthday, to be exact."
Josie noticed Jasper start looking almost uncomfortable with their curent conversation. She strained her brain for a way to niccly change the subject.
She smiled, noticing they wanted a subject change. "But that isn't important at the moment."
Josie smiled. She aa sglad theyvdidn't have to go deeper into the details.
"So anyways, what book did you come for?" Azzy nodded towards Josie's book.
"Oh, jst a book for a report in History of Magic." Josie replied.
"Oohh! What about?"
"A famous wizard of history who was alive before the 20th century." Josie replied.
Azzy wrinkled her nose, "Well that doesn't sound fun at all! Whitslic therapaj darasee!"Why no fun at all!
"Well, it's history of magic, what did you expect?" Josie answered.
Walks into the library, bored- James Potter
Az thought for a moment, "Well they could at least TRY to make it fun, couldn't they?"
Looks for a book about quiddich and sits down
Azali turned, seeing the newcomer, "Hi!"
Sees Azali and stands up, "Hey, I haven't seen you before"
She laughed quietly. "No, you probably haven't. I'm Azali Spade, Slytherin, and you?"
"Slytherin"? He pauses momentarily and tries to recover, he smiles, "I'm James Potter, Ravenclaw.
Azzy sighs, "Everyone reacts that way, but I've honestly done nothing wrong!"
Tries to cover up his mistake, "No I didn't mean any prejudice sorry, its just..... never mind", he said
"You know," Azzy says, conversationally, "I was almost put in Ravenclaw. I have the grades for it, but I don't know what tipped the scale!"I know exactly what tipped the scale. I know why. I know. Of course I know. What I did was bad. Horrible.
Ravenclaw? Grades aren't everything you need to get put in ravenclaw, Slytherins are smart people too

Azzy laughed, "Of course, every house has more than one defining trait. But Slytherins are usually bullies, or mean, or evil, and I'm... well, not." She finished sheepishly.
Azzy, of course not, if you were evil I would have known that a long time ago, he smiles
Then why don't you know? She questioned in her mind."How would you be able to tell?" Azali asked awed.
Well from what I've seen, you're a nice person, and I know that kind of stuff about people
She laughed quietly, "So what brings you to the library, James?"
I was just a bit bored from bieng in the commonroom so I came here to brush up on my quiddich skills
"Ah, what languages do you speak?" Az asked, as she wondered if she was the only Syrenth speaking witch on the planet anymore. She held a black, red, and gold book close to her chest, all of the writing in Syrenth.
Looks at the book his eyes filled with surprise, is that Syrenth? You read that?! I read that!
She grinned, "I do, I'm translating this book currently. Whalitich, Avryk witintash gefrot ingual Syrenth." Many say Syrenth is a forgotten language.
Well atleast two people know it, he smiles
((If you ever need to speak Syrenth, put letters together that sound like odd words. That's what I do.)) "How did you learn?"
I learned from my grandfather, he was one of the last people to have learned it from the masters
"I learned it straight from the source. I lived with Syrens for... about 7 years. The light never changes, and you lose track of time down there after a while."
Destiny walked into the library, sat down, and started writing an essay on Basic Potion Ingredients.
And, of course, Azali who could never turn down meeting someone, said to James "I'll be right back!" and ran over to Destiny. "Hi, I'm Azali, Slytherin, who are you?"
Josie turned to Jasper. "I'm ready now. Where would you like to head out to?"
Looks around the library but doesn't see anyone
Jasper smiled."Alright" his voice was quiet.
He was always shy around new friends. That was one of the reasons for him being so quiet.
"Where would you like to go?" Josie asked.
"Anywhere is fine" Jasper felt he just couldn't decide that day.
"Lets go back outside then," Josie replied.
Jasper nodded."Okay" he smiled.
He led her back outside then.
(( Uh... where to now? ))
Josie took his hand an dthey headed out the door. ((To the lake?))
Azzy sat on the floor, with the large black book and her notebook, furiously translating.

He felt himself zone off as he remembered how much he missed his mother.
