I think we could use a new thread. I just unfollowed a dozen blogs that were posted here because they never followed me back and it looks like they don't even blog anymore,
Hi everyone. I have a blog at http://jdrhawkins.com. I'm a Civil War author, so a lot of the topics center around the war, writing in general, and the hot topic right now about the Confederate flag. Please stop by, check it out, and follow! Thank you.
Irene wrote: "I think we could use a new thread. I just unfollowed a dozen blogs that were posted here because they never followed me back and it looks like they don't even blog anymore,"Yes Irene,
I too have followed hundreds of blogs that do not follow back.
So disappointing...
I only interact with blogs where the blogger talks back AND I have an interest in the topics usually covered (except for a couple of people who are friends I don't know how - I'm loyal).I like commenting, and visitors who comment back are most welcome.
My latest post is completely out of my normal writing posts - it's about a rare sleep disorder - Non-24: When someone you love is an okapi (https://liebjabberings.wordpress.com/...)
If you know a teen or college student with weird hours, it's worth at least knowing that Non-24 exists (and other sleeping disorders), because not being able to sleep properly is at the root of what often presents as character defects, laziness, or psychiatric illnesses, compounding an already bad-enough problem for the poor kids.
Follow me guys! :) I'm posting my reviews and other bookish stuffs there.http://bookhuntressworld.blogspot.com/
My blog is brand spanking new so it's a blank slate right now. I literally just set it up, along with all corresponding social media accounts, yesterday. Hoping to change that very soon. http://lizs-bookshelf.blogspot.com

Manasa wrote: "Hey all. I just got myself a blog on WordPress. Any advice for a beginner? I'd really like some advice. It's more like a writing and reading blog."My biggest piece of advice is to find an active Facebook group or two for bloggers. You'll go there and post your link and comment on other people's blog posts. This is a great way to find a community, get those first viewers, and learn a lot about blogging through other, more experienced blogger's posts. I've tried several and I'm really liking Blog Passion Project at the moment. I have a lifestyle blog (megdgonzalez.com) that includes monthly book recommendations. Your top focus should be creating quality content. You'll learn the rest over time.
... Oh! There's a great free crash course on starting a blog at Just a Girl and Her Blog (which is an awesome blogger resource). I hope this helps! Feel free to message me with any other questions.

Manasa wrote: "Hey all. I just got myself a blog on WordPress. Any advice for a beginner? I'd really like some advice. I have blogs follow my blog, but don't follow them back because I can't relate to the content at all. You also write for yourself and nobody else, and my #1 word of advice HAVE FUN!!
