Have you read the Vampire Diaries or Vampire Academy?

I haven't read Vampire Diaries but I received Vampire Academy by one of my Grandma's friend and didn't really enjoy it. I read up to the end of Shadow Kiss and my Grandma's friend wanted to read it. I gave it to her and she read it and lets just say she took the books off me because the content in the book wasn't, uh :) appropiate. Yeah, major embarassing. It was her fault anyway for buying the books not mine. ;)

Haha... a YA about a Vampire Academy. The heroine, Rose, is a dampir (a half blood vamp) that is training to be a guardian(they protect the royal vampires) at the academy. Her best friend, Lissa, is a royal who is the last of her royal bloodline. Rose and Lissa are also bound together by spirit(long story, you should just read the books). Rose falls for her trainer, Dimitri, who is also a dampir. Love between dampirs is taboo. In order for lines to continue, that is. Did I spell dampir right? It's been a while since I read any of these.

Adrian is a royal full-blooded vampire, and doesn't come into the books until the third one, second one? Anyway, I was team Adrian all the way, and was ticked on the outcome of VA. (I didn't like the heroine or the hero, at all) Adrian kept me reading them though.
Suffice it to say, I'm a huge fan of Bloodlines.

Um, Adrian is funny. He is also a bad boy that sticks to vices to numb spirit. Spirit is his vampire gift, one that is rare and can make them go nuts.

I know characters from VA are popular choices, but I havent read that series yet. I have read TVD but I am not as much of a fan of it as I am of . Anyone else read it? The vamp in it is Dante. He is super hot. Supernaturally hot. The kind of hot where he cant go outside without a hoodie or someone will jump him. :P

It is. It is awesome. Unfortunately each book since has gotten a little worse. But I still love Dante and Heather enough to keep reading. As well as Dante's father, Lucien. He is also hot. :P The fifth book in the series comes out in March. I cant wait!
