Ralph Gallagher | 122 comments I'm going to steal Lori's idea from the adult M/M group. This is a spot for readers to post story ideas that they'd like to see. Since we have quite a few authors in this group, it's a perfect chance to see a story you've always wanted to read come to life!

Jo Ramsey (Jo_Ramsey) | 1017 comments Darn you, Ralph... you know I'm going to pick up plot bunnies from this thread!

I'm going to add a request, though... my 16-year-old daughter would like to see a story about an F->M teen who finds a girlfriend. (I'm still researching trans* and have to finish V.J.'s story before I get thwapped, so I can't write this one myself.)

Don't worry, I already have a plot bunny planned for you. ;)

Sure thing!

I want a love story written about these two boys, please. Thank you!

message 8: by Kaje (new)

Kaje Harper | 17376 comments You would post a picture like that... Any clues about the guys or open interpretation?

LOL!! I am going with open interpretation but I will tell you that it was a promo ad for Romeo and Julio--so there...an idea!

message 10: by Jo (new)

Jo Ramsey (Jo_Ramsey) | 1017 comments Okay, I know both guys are probably drawn, but to me it looks like the one on this side of the fence is a real life person and the one on the other side is a drawing... Two different worlds, literally, as in two different dimensions. The fence separates the dimensions and is the only place the two can meet.

Sorry... this is how my brain works.

Kaje Harper | 17376 comments Or maybe these are the online avatars of two real life boys who look quite different...

oohhh--this is so exciting--authors talking---love it!!

Ralph Gallagher | 122 comments I'd like to see the story about these two boys. It'd be something different than the usual high school romances.

Kids' story or as a flashback in an older YA?

The guy on this side trying to help the other guy skip a fake quarantine was made by a madman who appear to be the guy from this side's father ...

Either one could work.

M'rella (mrella) | 2 comments Ralph, that picture reminded me of an incident I witnessed at a playground last year. Two little boys 5 or 6 years old were playing together. They spent about 2 hours completely oblivious to everyone else. At one point one of the boys kissed the other on the cheek, they giggled and would have continued playing if not for one of the mothers yelling across the playground:
"Charlie! We do not kiss other boys! This is unacceptable!"
The other mother came out of woodwork, they pulled the boys apart, both of them startled and upset, and left the playground.
I bet if the boys were fighting no one would have ever noticed. 'Cause it's "normal". *shrug*

message 19: by Kaje (new)

Kaje Harper | 17376 comments So sad - that simple affection would ever be unacceptable.

message 20: by Erica (new)

Erica Pike (ericapike) | 14 comments Jeez, Mammarella. I don't know if I would have walked up to those mothers to give them a piece of my mind or if I would have been too shocked to say a thing.

message 21: by M'rella (new)

M'rella (mrella) | 2 comments Believe me, I wanted to ask what the hell was wrong with them. Unfortunately, you can't tell other parents how to bring up their kids and I didn't want to argue in front of the boys and my kids, too.

I have that book. It's in its third draft already...
The working title is Country Girls. Alecia Mueller is a seventeen year old conservative girl growing up in rural Iowa. All she wants out of life is to meet "the one" settled down and have kids.
Then she finds out her best friend Sam is a female to male transgender. She stands by her friend through transition (after all that's her best friend) but then starts to realize that the boy that Sam is becoming just might be "the one".

Perhaps you or your daughter would like to be beta-readers and give me some feedback? (or anyone else in this discussion, for that matter). PM me on here or email me at racheleliason at gmail.

Wow, that sounds great. We have a few F2M trans guys on the group - you might put your request for a beta somewhere else too if you want their input. I'll give some thought about where it might be best seen (most of them just lurk...)

Antje གརས པཅ Parker | 22 comments How about a story written in the style of a Shakespearean tragedy, it starts out happy and then by the end everyone is dead. The general plot is that there are these two girls and they like each other but they're bullied because of it and the bullying escalates beyond control

Antje གརས པཅ Parker | 22 comments I've always loved Shakespearean tragedies, the present day and LGBT stories so I'd really like to see them all together

We have a free F/F story on the February thread ( http://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/7... )(message 22,) that isn't Shakespearian but is a tragedy with death...of sorts, in a paranormal way. And also the story in message 39 is a kind of F/F romantic tragedy. But neither are exactly this so I'd love to see it written.

Kinda like, if it started happy then it must end happy kind of thought process.

And thanks for the recommendations, Kaje
