William Mego (willmego) I've opened the nomination thread for February 2012...now I just need to figure out what book I'll nominate! There were some terrific ideas I wasn't familiar with that didn't make it in the last poll, so I might nominate one of those if they don't get into this month's poll. Or, I could just nominate Blankets by Craig Thompson every single month...

I was wondering what Logophile and everybody was thinking about how to run the discussions, I know some groups break it into sections of chapters to enable chatter without spoiling later bits for people that haven't gotten that far. I'm sure there's other ways that work well too, and I have no real feeling, experience, or preference, so I was wondering what people like, and what we'll do. Ideas?

Logophile | 41 comments I'd also like to hear what people think about this. I don't want people to have to worry about spoilers, but I also worry that the conversation doesn't always flow well or develop organically when things are broken up by section. What do y'all think?

Deborah | 983 comments I would suggest that we try chapters with the first reads, with the understanding that as we get further along, one can comment on previous parts and even future parts by hiding spoilers. I would also suggest that if we try this, or if we try something else, for that matter, we have this conversation again. We can decide what we liked about how the conversation went, whether we want more or less structure, what worked and what didn't.

William Mego (willmego) sounds like a reasoned and reasonable plan to me.
