I will read this book.
Also I recommend "Raising Boys" by Steve Biddulph to any parents of boys. Raising Cain looks like it maybe takes this argument even deeper.

I read this for an Adolescent Psych class in college. While I liked it and agreed with the authors, I felt that raising emotionally secure boys is possible, until they get to school and get laughed at for crying. I don't remember the authors talking about what to do once a child gets exposed to society's pressures to "be a man" etc, but it may be because I read the book 5 years ago. Enjoy!

I also recommend The Secret Life of Girls for the flipside.
