After I woke up I could feel them crawling around in my brain, talking to me, taunting me, laughing at me. Now, I need to go buy a drill and some tweezers. But yeah, fun book. Much better than I expected.

MJ (zombette) | 545 comments I would never, ever read a book about them. Me and my husbands first apartment had bed bugs and they are the nastiest most disgusting creatures ever.

Talk about traumatizing!

Tressa (moanalisa) | 19903 comments I've never had bedbugs but I was hesitant about reading it, too. But the story isn't like some horror book where they swarm in and engulf people. Most of the book deals with the character's state of mind.

11811 (Eleven) (11811) | 1561 comments I can't in good conscience recommend the book to anyone who has actually had bed bugs. I got my own imaginary infestation about halfway through reading it.

I'm getting itchy just reading about them. *shiver*

MJ (zombette) | 545 comments Tressa, I could have written it. I was a basketcase!

Tressa (moanalisa) | 19903 comments I thought it would disturb me too much that I couldn't finish it, or I would finish it and regret it. But it's not as bad as it sounds.

I can only imagine how hard it is to get rid of bedbugs. I would be afraid to lie in any bed after that. I am more aware now of used clothing and staying in hotel rooms.
