Annabeth seemed a bit antagonistic to Percy at first anyway and they figured, why have the god of war and the goddess of wars' daughters both be in this film when only one is needed for this story. Which we all know is a dumb idea if they ever wanted to make sequels which as we know is a possibility.

You can't dislike a movie just because the majority of people do. Even though I didn't enjoy the movie I find it wrong you hate something you haven't watched!!!
The Movie skipped half the monsters in the book
They are actually making the second book into movie, with the same cast and everything. Hopefully they do a better job with this one then they did with the first movie.
I won't mind the second movie so much if they just stick with parts of the book and have clarrise and tyson in it

In the trailers for the movie it never said "based on the book by Rick Riordan" or whatever

i just think that they should either do it right, or not do it at all... they need to know that we were not happy with the first and we demand a better second
I just watched the first movie, and I noticed that Percy and Annabeth, DID see the gods in their true forms. You know, when they are ginormous.
Maybe because they were demi gods they didnt get burned. Idk.
Anything that isnt a god, that means including demigods, gets vaporized at the sight of a god in their regular form. Except for jason who was talked back to life by piper

He didn't look anything like what Hades should look like.He's a god, not a monster!And besides that look is pathetic.Who would fall for it?I think the Hydra was creepy, though.Nice movie making.
But SERIOUSLYYYYYY!I am going to list a couple of things that are different(I can't name all of them, they are countless.The whole plot is wrong).
1:Posiedon doesn't tell anyone, especially his brother about Percy until Percy reaches the camp.We don't even know about gods, or demigods, or whatever, except for the warning at the beginning of the book.There is no prologue to the book with Posiedon and Zues.
2:The story goes right to the field trip.It doesn't tell about Ms. Dodds's class.
3:Percy doesn't read the greek, he remembers from class.It doesn't include Nancy Bobofitt(What kind of name is Bobofitt?)and eating lunch and soaking her.Chiron throws percy the pen and it transforms in mid-air.Percy recieves the pen at Camp Half-Blood, not in that room.
Okay, i'm tired now, so i'm gonna stop.those were just a few little minor differences.There are a 0,000,000,000(billion) more problems which i'm not gonna list, but one thing i gotta say:If the movie makers were trying to film the Percy Jackson series, they got the wrong book.But the movie was still great.It wasn't anywhere near as good as the real The Lightning Thief, and if you expected it to be like the book, you're gonna be real prejudiced against it.But if you think of it as just a movie, you're going to really like it.
