All of these are my 5 star ones. There also others the I absolutely loved that were 4 stars.
Planning to read 95 books this year 5 more than my "adjusted" goal of his year.
Hope everyone has a great New Year!

My absolute FAVORITE book this year for me was

I've set my 2012 goal for a modest 36 books - 3 a month. I'm actually hoping to read more than that, but with work and all .. I wanted to be realistic in how much time I can find in a day LOL

36 is still good! A lot of people set a goal but don't read at all.
I probably should have done less this year actually since I go to college next year hopefully. But I'm sure I'll squeeze them in somewhere. And summer is a lot of time to read.
My absolute favorite was

yes, I probably read more Historical-Fiction than anything else. something about going back in time and seeing/reading different point-of-views from the real characters we've all heard or read about in history.
I also have a deep fascination with royalty (especially English royalty), so I like most anything with kings, queens, etc.
Fantasy and dystopian worlds are my other top favorite genres.

I thought so with this book and the other book we were talking about on the currently reading section it sounded like that was a genre you really liked.
I also like fantasy and dystopian. What dystopian books have you read and liked?

I have an artist/photographer I'm facebook friends with/following and, so far, two of her underwater photos have turned up as front covers (haven't read either yet).

her name is Elena Kalis and her photos are amazing...so I'm not really surprised they're finding their way to book covers :)

I haven't read them either but have heard good things.

It's hard to get my mom to read books I like. Only once has she liked one. I've only read part of one of her books but all she read is Nora Roberts...
I can only remember reading two historical fiction books.

I'm sure there are others but I don't remember. Kindred terrified me. One of the characters did I mean. I think I had nightmares.

I have such a vivid imagination on my own... I reeeally don't need to see scary movies or read scary books to make things worse LOL
yikes! the wind is super duper bad right now... so I think I'm about to power down and hide under the bed or something. Have a great night! ~waves~
