Connections of the Infernal Devices To The Mortal Instruments

I have heard plenty of theories but there is one that really shone out to me.
On another site a person by the name of Kait from The Hunger Games Victors Village said this:

"This is a personal theory of mine, but I'm sure many others have thought about it too!

CECILY HERONDALE IS AN ANCESTOR OF THE MODERN DAY LIGHTWOOD FAMILY. Like a great-great(-great?) grandmother.

How, you ask? I think she becomes a Shadowhunter after all, whips the morally-confused Gabriel Lightwood into shape in Clockwork Princess, and when all is said and done, marries him.

That would explain why Alec and Isabelle Lightwood have the ink black hair and piercing blue eyes that are credited to Will and Cecily Herondale in The Infernal Devices series!"

I personally loved this theory and it makes sense!

Wow, I never thought about that. That's an interesting theory. I personally wouldn't have thought of Gabriel and Cecily being together, but you never know! I like this theory.

I have thought of too, you know, because Alec has striking beautiful blue eyes like Will's and Cecily.
